Yes he did and there's actually a lot of subtle changes in the framing.

This Panic Room transfer has been in the works for a long time with a recent new colour grade so I have no doubts this will be fantastic

It's hard to imagine there's no conformed negative for a 2002 movie when Sony was still doing it for their DI titles years later.

I wouldn't be shocked if this was postponed from the earlier rumored release date (2 years ago now?) because Fincher disliked the packaging the studio had planned for it - just like with Se7en. Early mockups of that original version showed the original key art, which I thought was perfectly fine

Hopefully this means other Fincher titles, namely Alien 3, are on the fast track now.

He DGAF about Alien 3, so its potential release has nothing to do with his other films. And Disney would be dumb releasing A3 on UHD before Fight Club and Gone Girl.

After a year where I purchased far less 4K discs than I usually do, this news going into 2025 really put a smile on my face when I needed it. Well, this and Se7en.

And I really dig the artwork! Bring it home, baby.

I actually looked at the DVD at a Half-Priced Books today and thought "nah, the 4K will get announced soon." If the disc hadn't been scratch to heck, I probably would have got it.
