Great so looks like this has a borked audio situation like Sony's Little Women 4K/BD and 28 Days BD? I watched this through TV speakers so I didn't catch this. How did this happen? Didn't they just have port over the stereo track from the BD to the UHD? Speaking of which, is that stereo track on the BD mono as well?

Something seriously wrong with the QC on these MOD releases, Sony, WB, and Universal can't keep letting this happen.

Not a huge deal as the audio was never advertised prior to release. Although the menus do show French Dolby Digital and Spanish Stereo, both are in lossless DTS-HS MA.

The English 2.0 track is based on the center channel from the 5.1 track. However, the front and left channels for the 5.1 track are different.

Only the initial BD was too dark due an actual black crush error (same as Fury and others around the same time). They fixed that with the re-release, which introduced piss poor compression instead though.

I hope the 4K is not too dark as in initial-BD-black-crush-error-reloaded-too-dark.

Or Lionsgate with their "Gamer" release lacking the HDR flag and hence playing without PQ being applied, i.e. totally washed out. Wondering if they silently fixed that by now btw. (Lionsgate MOD had other issues too IIRC)

I never listened to the 2.0 of my BDs, but will check both BDs (inital 2015 black crush release and fixed black crush, but piss poor compression, 2020 re-release) some time later.

Since the back cover clearly states "English 2.0 channel Surround" I'm not sure I agree with that, since that's what matters at the end of the day IMHO. I usually opt for the 5.1 track anyway, but from my POV it's just as bad as the faulty 5.1 with Little Women only the other way round here.

The English 2.0 DTS-HD MA track of the 2020 BD re-release isn't mono (the 2015 BD is English 5.1 only). Visible via the graph already, but took the screenshot so one can also clearly see it via the green bars. Didn't check if it also plays as proper Dolby Surround on my setup.

So if the 2.0 of the 4K is mono, that's an error introduced with the 4K. Opposed to the faulty "Little Women" 5.1 track I at least already have the correct 2.0 track with this one. Other than that I guess I also prefer having a correct 5.1 track over a 2.0 one (when both are basically the same mix, which I guess is the case here).

I'll analyze the 2.0 track later, but we also know that the back covers frequently list incorrect info and this isn't an exception. But I'll go one step further and the back cover was never available prior to release and these aren't available in stores as it's a MOD release.

However, the back cover, like the menus, also lists a French Dolby Digital 2.0 and a Spanish Stereo track. Since the back cover is inaccurate, do you want them to remove the lossless tracks for lossy ones?

No, because I don't care about French or Spanish audio tracks at all and I also doubt the French or Spanish will complain about what's most likely an upgrade (instead of a downgrade or an error). But with the stuff I do care about, I will of course refer to what the actual product (i.e. the back cover in this case) advertises.

And I will do even more so when I have an earlier version already, that's coming with the proper track. Mind you that I don't think I'll contact them re. this one, but it surely is an error is my point.

As I said, it's not uncommon for language tracks to be listed wrong or completely left off, or for running times and aspect ratios to be listed wrong. I never go off of what is actually on the back cover when it comes to those specs.

Thanks and that looks like mono, yes. And when you say it's mono, I will also believe you for now. But I am also not sure what exactly I am looking at there (because of the silence for more than 5 minutes, so it surely isn't the actual audio track), so you will have to forgive me for also checking myself when I have the disc in my very own hands (should have it Tuesday or Wednesday).
