This is a top 3 most wanted for me. I'm going to prepare to be disappointed and hope to be pleasantly surprised. LOL!

This again? I have no problem with people prefering one cut over another. My beef is with labels releasing just theatrical cuts when oher cuts exists and are already available on BD. Give fans the option to view their prefer cut.

I don’t want to spoil the film for anyone so if differences are discussed Please use spoiler tags.
Not me. I actually prefer the Theatrical Cut all the way.

But you'd get a remastered BD. If it is through New Line, you might get that old Warner/New Line disc with tons of DNR packed in, or no BD at all with the release just being a theatrical only UHD.

It's 50/50 with Warner. They did remasters for The Shining, 2001, The Shawshank Redemption, Lord of the Rings, Batman, Batman Returns etc. You'd hope they'd would do that for Dark City since the old BD is horrid. But I have a feeling this will be Arrow anyway.

Not interested on a remastered BD only because they are trying to make people purchase a 4K theatrical cut only, to get a remastered BD. Not paying 4K price for a BD. Do it right the first time and i'm pretty sure fans would be more than happy to drop top $ on your releases. Is that simple.

I haven't seen the directors cut yet. But I loved the theatrical version back in the day. Though I can certainly see why deleting the opening narration would make the movie much better. Other than that. The pacing of the theatrical cut was terrific.

I just want both cuts in native 4K. I know I'm asking for too much.

I've been holding off on picking the blu in the hopes of a 4K announcement. Hopefully grain is retained, OG audio included and/or an included remix isn't too revisionist, etc, etc.

Also, worth noting, I viewed a 35mm print of the theatrical cut a few months ago and I remember the scenes that were screen-capped (I won't spoil anything about the film, but those who know the context know the context) did have a greenish blue tint to them, whilst the city scenes typically had a more yellow tint to them, so judging from the screen-caps taken off of a monitor, they appear to be going in the right direction. Take this with a grain of salt of course, not all prints and projectors are 100% the same, but the general idea is still there.

I already have the Blu-Ray with both cuts...it costs 8.99 on Amazon today. Arrow can suck it.

Because a Blu from 15 + years ago with dated transfers are totally on par with a brand new 4K scan on UHD with new features etc.

If Arrow gets a hold of this... that'll really be something. This one really needs the love. The current transfer is very mediocre.

Ok like I will be buying this. I haven’t seen It in years so I don’t remember which cut is preferred but every release should always have ALL cuts of a movie included so they’d better get it right.

Exciting news though, no qualms.

I'm a huge fan of this movie. I think I saw it, no less than, six times in the theater. For me, the theatrical cut flows much better, obviously. But, I absolutely loved seeing all the extended scenes and extra stuff put back in. I really hope we get both. Because I will happily switch off between both versions.
