I can confirm this. Definitely frozen but it fades into next scene. I'm watching it again and it happens during a fading transition. Different, but it looks way cool!

Absolutely amazing. On my 6th viewing after receiving my copy a little over 24 hours ago. Copy 1737/5000. I feel like I'm on set while watching. Blown Away.

Wish Vinegar Syndrome would look at remastering "Surviving the Game"! Another great picture from 1994.

Starring none other than Gary Busey! Folks have talked about Busey being unhinged in Drop Zone.

He is MANIC in STG. You got Ice T., Rutger Hauer, Charles S. Dutton, John C. McGinley, F. Murray Abraham among others! AND it never received a Blu-ray release.

Surviving the Game is great! Believe it or not, Shout Factory released it on Blu-ray the end of 2023 from a 4K scan!

Dang you really like Drop Zone, huh? I saw it four times in theaters myself. 13 year old account with 17 posts and 14 are in this thread. Respect.

I do. It was the first time that I ditched class to go and see it in the cinema. I was 16 years old and just got my drivers license. I can continue on but it shouldn't count against me for nostalgia bias. This is a ****ing beast of a disc!

They still have copies left. But they will disappear very soon. Just glad I got in. Unlike RAD 4K. 😔

Just ordered a copy from Diabolik DVD whom now have this title in stock as it's one of their new releases this week. So I'll probably get my copy late next week.

I spoke to someone from VS at a convention last weekend where they had a booth. Basically confirmed this film's inclusion in the Cinematograph line vs the main Vinegar Syndrome line was an April Fool's Day joke they delivered on. Lol.

I'm not at all surprised. This band out at VS are releasing banger after banger. They can do whatever they want. They have more than earned that imo.

Looks like I won’t be getting my copy delivered till next week it’s still in New Jersey, but hopefully I get it delivered this weekend as I really want to rewatch it again so bad the first of multiple rewatches of Drop Zone this year.

Email the timestamps to contact@vinsyn.com and ask them to run the anomaly by the restoration team to see if it was intentional/unavoidable. VS is known for taking responsibility for their mistakes. If they determine that it's an error, they'll probably fix it.
