Looks like a worthy upgrade. The movie clips in the original aspect ratio is nice. I don't have any discs left in the dreaded pan and scan format, I should have kept one as an example for posterity.

The grittiness of the original footage is a better contrast to the restoration of the actual film in 4K.

Can anyone confirm if Coppola's audio singing, "Anything Goes" to his child has been restored?

Ever since DVD, it's been muted.

Kinds silly it drops anything for a documentary that's usually a special feature lol.

£50 is crazy for something like this

It is a nice set but £50? I suppose it'll help Coppola with his winery bills.

As glad as I am that the UHD would appear to have a verr naice compression job, someone make it make sense that StudioCanal would lavish a solid encode on this while so many actual movies get given the usual block-block-a-block treatment. ****ing cretins

I'm guessing Lionsgate will do a limited edition of this through their website?

Anyone knows if there is any difference between the uk (studiocanal) and the german (arthaus) releases? The german costs 20 euros less.

The UK limited UHD/BD edition comes with a copy of her book, which is actually not a bad value as it's been in and out of print over the years.

The movie would have been better served for me with a single disc release. Don’t need the swag.

One of the best documentaries in cinema history but man, did this really needs its own separate 4k release? Absolute nonsense.

I'm quite interested in purchasing this, but I'm in the United States (Region A). I understand the 4K UHD disc is not Region locked. However, the two Blu-ray Discs are locked.

Surely this won't be an exclusive release by Studio Canal in Europe and beyond, no? Has there been any word from Lionsgate on a release in North America?

In olden days
A few notes were shocking
To lawyers, now the film is lacking
But no one knows?
"Anything Goes"?

Coppola singing the song can be seen at 50:20 here. Can someone confirm that it's been restored, and appears as it does in this video?

Anyone know what happened to the standard edition that was dated for 11th August? Release date came and went with nothing but a big fart sound. Doesn't seem to be available anywhere.
