The first time I saw Nightmare on Elm Street I never looked back. All the other sequels sucked, but this one definetly set the bar.

I remember when I was watching the Oman (original) with my brother. When that priest got impailed on that rod, we just could not stop laughing when that happened.

Why do we have to choose what YOU think is the scariest?? Why not just ask what we think is the scariest??? I don't see The Blairwitch Project on your list.

You should have had Evil Dead on the list instead of Evil Dead II. The original movie was scary. Evil Dead II, the sequel, was more comedy than scary.

I voted for The Thing. Not only is it one of the scariest movie's ever, it is just amazing. It is claustrophobic and there is a feeling of despair that is unmatched in any other movie, save Texas Chainsaw. Also the fact that anyone could be your enemy is about the scariest thing ever.

No other movie in the history of me watching movies kept me in fear longer after watching it...The Exorcist. I watched it on Labor Day in the eigth grade and I have never wanted to go to school so bad so I wouldn't keep seeing her face on my wall.
