There's acually two Capote movies. One with Phillip Seymour Hoffman and another with somebody I don't know. The second one came out right after Hoffmans. 90% same story

I'll add Jeffrey, Love! Valor! Compassion! and Six Degrees of Separation. Wilde was pretty good if you have any interest in Oscar.

I want to say My Beautiful Laundrette but it's been so long since I've seen it I can't how well I enjoyed it...

The Haunting was the earliest film I can think of seeing with a lesbian character in a movie.

Some people may be surprised.
You are right. In fact, I recently read something on the web questioning whether Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith are gay have an open marriage:

I found the link: http://dyfuse.com/?q=node/1381

If it's on the Internet, it must be true!

Rent may qualify but I don't know about the rest. Having a gay micro-subplot doesn't count in "gay movie". Subplots qualify however in my opinion especially the ones that propel the stories forward. For example:

Gay micro-subplots: The transformation scene in Mrs. Doubtfire. Category - gay characters.
Subplot: Stardust and The Mexican (specifying the scenes or categories would be considered spoilers)
Strong Subplot: My Best Friend's Wedding and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang Catagory - gay characters. Connie & Carla Catagory - gay romance.

I still think of what could have been in The Mexican. Bummed out about that one.

Here Capote being gay is the (micro) subplot. The story is not about that. However it was pretty good.

It's a concert, not a gay movie. It's not even a gay-themed concert.

Oh I don't know about that.
Available on Amazon. Never seen it myself. Just saw it while browsing the Amazon G&L catalog.

Sexuality is a fluid thing, so I guess anything is possible...

But didn't Will Smith balk at the kiss in Six Degrees of Separation? The way it's shot it certainly looks like a cheat. My gay theatre friends got a bit worked up about it, and I confess I was a little let down---not because I needed to see Will Smith kiss a man, but because it seemed to me he was willing to take the role without committing to it (it wasn't Shortbus, for goodness sakes). Still, it was quite an impressive performance and gained him a lot of credibility...and one of the better stage-to-screen adaptations of a straight (ahem) drama I've seen to date.

Default Hermaphrodites on Blu...

Sorry folks... can't think of any I'd want to see...
I sense a terrible wave of: "Movie's with Prince songs in them you'd like to see on Blu", or "Movies that cleverly use props to hide genitals you'd like to see on Blu", or "Movies with dogs peeing on the legs of unsuspecting cast members you'd like to see on Blu".

It's a slippery slope...

He refused to do a good job because he felt he would lose his street cred. But under your gay conspiracy theory... maybe he was avoiding an "outing"? Nah, he's with Jada cuz she's got that 'lady in the street, but a freak in the bed' look to her. 6 degrees kinda freaked me out at the time... they were free passes anyway...
