But I remember there was an unrated edition released years ago, right?

Wrong sadly. the film was orignally released as an R rated picture. it was originally PG-13 but additional scenes were shot to bump the rating up due to the hype at the time.

So Paris Hilton is listed as having a cameo on IMDb but I can’t seem to spot her.

Has anybody else seen her?

Other than perhaps the original Blair Witch, this is one of the earliest times I can think of a movie with a lot of internet-centric hype. The funny thing was that when this movie was about to be released there was so much low key chatter on message boards for months that I thought this was going to be a massive movie at the time, but I was also young and dumb. I remember calling the theater and asking if there were any seats available for the opening night showing and the theater employee probably thought it was a joke since they'd only sold a few tickets. After all the hype, thought the movie itself was actually kind of boring.
