What? No Resident Evil 5!?

I loved the 1st MGS that came out for PS1. That game was the bomb! The 2nd one was cool too, but I have to say that the 3rd one didn't grip me like the first two. We'll see about MGS4. That said, I think the GTA games have progressively gotten better and better. Even though I have more of an affinity for Vice City, I have to concede that San Andreas is a superior game overall. I just can't imagine all of the things they're going to do next with GTA4.

I respect the fact that MGS is a PS exclusive, and for that reason I want to support the franchise, but I honestly think GTA has stirred up a little more of an overall buzz in the last couple years than MGS - both great games though.

Kojima said awhile back something like: if you liked MGS2 and not so much MGS3 you will more likely like MGS4, as it is more like MGS2. Not sure how or why, but that's what I remember.

In regards to GTA- I agree, that certainly has much more overall hype. Your original question was will GTA or MGS4 be a more popular release. I said MGS4, but I've changed my mind:

I think GTA will be MUCH more popular, as ALOT more people like that game overall, but for people who like MGS- I believe MGS4 will please those fans much more. If we're talking strictly popularity among PS3, that will depend on how many people have a PS3 by that time. At this point, alot of hardcore PS fans have PS3s, and with hardcore PS fans comes alot of hardcore MGS fans. By the time the game comes out, alot more people will have PS3 so it will be interesting to see which game does better. I'm more excited for MGS4 though.

Also, there has been NO information released about GTA, and I think they're doing it from the ground up, so hopefully they make it good.

Mortal konbat 2 i think is a ps3 exclusive as of now. I think XBL has Ultimate MK3. Im also pretty sure the game comes out in March.

Oblivion has also been pushed back one week to the 20th.

Done, their JP and AU lists are pretty sparse and I can't tell how reliable they are. I'm open to suggestions again for sources for those dates if anyone wants them up.
