No, Amazon was selling it for $499.

Some scalper is selling through Amazon for $899. And if you want one at Gamestop, you better get there very early in the morning.

This is why non-Prime Member get this early and Prime Member for later. Thats unfair, I thought we (Prime Member) should get the item faster. (sigh)

His quote from UPS says estimated arrival is 6/12, which means he must have used 2 day shipping.

I paid the extra $4 for overnight. Don't tell me they're going to hold my order one day longer (screwing me out of $4) so I don't get it 1 full day before street date.

DAMN I wish I wud have seen this forum before Amazon stopped selling these. well any way, for anyone who'd rather not wait in line for this, or can handle waitin on the shipping time, Sonystyle.com and Circuitcity.com are the ones that will have it available on the 12th... and I was pretty sure Amazon didn't use UPS. on account of THEY SUCK.

According to Amazon Forum, here's the breakdown for shipping method & speed:

Super Saver : Ship First (arrived 12th)
Standard : Second (13th)
Overnight: Third (16th)
2 Day: Ship Last (17th)

That seems right. I have Prime and choose 2nd day not knowing this and my arrival date was the 17th but then i received an email last night saying it shipped to be delivered on the 12th
