Heathers (1989)

I still remember seeing this at the local art-house when it came out with some friends, one of whom brought along his longtime girlfriend. I never much liked her, as she could be revoltingly snobbish and prudish. She was so outraged by the movie she refused to speak a word to any of us on the long ride home from the theater.

Just one of the reasons why I still love this movie.

I'm waiting on a reissue too. The current Image disc does not do the movie justice, and has no bonus features. The 2008 Anchor Bay disc doesn't sound worth tracking down either. For now, I'm content with just streaming it for free on Hulu.

Fingers crossed. It's my favorite movie and the current disc is quite crap. It's begging for an Arrow limited edition.

That's exactly how the Wonder Years DVD locker set looks like - except it's blue.

I'm sure Arrow will get to Heathers at some point. They're slowly working their way through the Lakeshore catalog and this is one of their bigger titles.

Yes! Arrow should definitely release Heathers in 2018.

I only recently saw the movie for the first time, so I only have Image's 2011 DVD.
With that said, how did Lakeshore get the rights to Heathers (and the rest of the New World catalog for that matter)?

I just picked up the 2008 release that has the bonus features for like 6 bucks the other day.

I can firmly say that this will most likely be coming from Arrow, as I feel 'Elvira: Mistress of the Dark' will to. So many of the titles lately have been New World and both feel up their alley. Maybe Scream Factory will want Elvira, but I really have a feeling Arrow will be doing 'Heather' soon with the new musical and show being made.

I've been hoping for this ever since Arrow nabbed Thief and Hellraiser.

I really do hope Heathers its bluray for UK in 2018.

I love Jennifer's Body and Jawbreaker. I wish Jawbreaker had a Special Edition, but the Blu-ray that Image put out a few years ago boasts a very nice video transfer. Unfortunately, the director's commentary track from the DVD was omitted.

Speaking of Heathers (I love it too), I'm surprised we haven't heard anything regarding a 30th anniversary Blu-ray as of yet. I wonder if Arrow (or any other studio) is releasing it at all.

Its the same transfer.

Be aware there is horrible telecine wobble. I'd pass on this and cross my fingers for a new scan/transfer.

I feel kind of dumb, what is a telecine wobble? And your saying that’s on both discs?
