If you ordered from tower.com or axelmusic...youre out of luck i you think youre getting it in the next few days.

I just called both places and talked to their reps. Both places send out a computer geenrated emai when their stock arrives in their facility upon scan in. Axelmusic receied their stock last week, and tower.com rceived it yesterday,

The movie did NOT physically ship when you received the email claiming it did. They are trying to correct this system problem and RE-EMALING those customers who ordered this movie that received emails about their automated shipment notice.

sorry guys! i actually wanted to order too early but was skeptical about it and so i checked it out myself.

I would like to see the gentleman that received his on ebay that is an import copy...could you ell us who te seller is? lol

othewise...2 more weeks!

I've received 3 e-mails from Tower.com.

1 - confirmed the order

2 - said it had shipped from the distribution center and it's on my way to me now

3 - a tracking number

So, are you saying that the tracking number isn't valid and that they don't actually have it ready to ship?

whatever they havsent you..i physically spoke to them an hour or so ago..they said NO order shipped.

if you got all that...its surprising even with a tracking number? I think your has tracking assigned and is ready for shipment like others, but not actually shipped.

....did you see any tracking changes after the point of origin? meaning - has it actually moved?

Well, a tracking number doesn't mean that the post office has it. It just means that a tracking number has been assigned to the package. If you check online it should tell you whether the USPS collected the package.

But even then, I have received tracking numbers that didn't show the package as being collected and the next day I receive so don't despair.

So somehow both AxelMusic and Tower.com have the same error, and neither has made shipments even though they've emailed saying they have? I highly doubt that - those two are definitely not the same company.

I ordered from AxelMusic and got the default shipping email. I emailed the customer service department since the status had fluctuated between backordered and packing for awhile, and an actual person (not an automated email) replied back to me saying that it had shipped. I won't rule out the possibility that he was wrong, but I have no reason to believe so at this point in time, and I highly doubt both AxelMusic and Tower made the exact same mistake.

Fed ex just delivered it an hour ago from dvdpacific. so far the avc bitrate averages in the mid 30's so no one can tell me that it doesn't surpass the pq on the hd dvd in some minor way just like the blu-ray version of the mummy and mummy returns did. i must admit though that the PQ isn't quite reference level. the truehd track is very good but still not as good as pirates 2&3 and spider-man 2, cloverfield, fifth element and some Fox titles that are total reference. AGAIN, dvdpacific has them in stock and shipping. had mine overnighted.

Actually, quite a few people can tell you that. Bitrate don't mean sh*t when comparing something side by side.

No, nothing yet. They're using DHL for shipping and it's still not showing up in their system. It says not found when I use the link provided by Tower.com. This could be normal though. When I've ordered online and used UPS, it frequently doesn't show up in the system until that night so I'm hoping it's still going to be delivered tomorrow. But, after your info, I don't think it's likely. If so, it'll be the 2nd time they've done that to me. The first time I tried them for something early, I got Top Gun a week or two early so I tried them again not long ago. It didn't work out that time though so I canceled the order. If this one doesn't go through, I probably won't try them again. I like getting things early but don't really want to go through that much trouble.

Actually, the status just changed. Earlier, the tracking number wasn't found. DHL is now reporting that the shipment has been picked up so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. In any case, I should know by noon tomorrow since it's supposed to be delivered by then.

Congrats and thanks for the info. If my tower.com order doesn't pan out I may give dvdpacific a shot.

I know what you are saying but with the deals I can get online sometimes it is worth it to order online, every extra dollar makes gas cost not so bad......I don't care if it gets to me prior to the release date, I laugh at people who are surprised when it doesn't.

I got that email. They are probably saying that no orders shipped because they might think you are from the studio and trying to protect themselves.
