Has anyone played this yet?

I downloaded it earlier and my wife and I noticed that there isn't any sound except for people clapping and the sound that the board makes. No sounds from the players or the host or anything. No talking at all. Is that right? Kinda makes the game really boring?

It's in my download queue. I've only briefly played one of the PC versions but decided to give the PS3 version a shot.

Well...you should have looked at the file size before you payed money for it. It is only a 100- something MB file, right? So not alot of voice or sound samples sounds, unfortunately, correct.

My girlfriend auditioned for Jeopardy at the beginning of last month. She was put in a waiting pool for 18 months to see if she'll be selected to become a contestant. For $15 this is a no-brainer. It'll be a cool tool to help her train if she is lucky enough to be selected. And with Online multiplayer she'll have the ability to go up against some really brilliant people. Hell, could be people in the same boat as her.
As far as voice recognition goes, I'm not to sure how easy it would've been to implement that. With all answers having to be in the form of a question (at least to make it authentic) I could see that becoming an issue. And nothing is more frustrating than when I'm playing a game like Brain Age that has voice recognition games on the simplest level, nd I'm penalized when it doesn't recognize the right answer that I've said 3 times before I'm given credit for it.

Example: Rule: Say the color of the word. Do not read the color. (Yellow) Blue, *wrong* Blue!! *wrong*Blue dammit!!!! *Correct*

Long story short, after a couple of plays I feel that it's a decent build. And worth the $15.
Those who are getting it let me know what you think

Yeah, it's too quiet. It probably would have helped if the characters would speak the answers or at least have Alex Trebek say who has command of the board, the category or something but for $15, I'm okay with it. Does feel kind of strange playing it that way though.

Just a heads up, Joystiq is giving the game away to 2 people, if you post a comment on the article (it's their way of registering for a contest). Check it out over at PS3Fanboy.com. The game might not be worth $15, but it's likely worth free.

For $15 and no trophies and limited questions and limited ambiance, I'll pass.

Too bad. I love trivia and wanted to get this game.

Just more half-assed crap being thrown out there in the gaming world.

The game maker's experience is with mobile gaming and it shows. This game belongs on a phone, not the PS3.

But that's just my opinion. Tired of junk and I'm not buying anything just because it's by this or that company anymore.

As a buyer of Scene-It and Buzz stuff, I'd rather have seen this game done right and come out with a $60 price.

I downloaded it today, havn't played it yet. IGN just gave it a pretty tough review... oh well, I'm just going to play it with my wife who I already know is smarter than me.

Absolutely agree with everything you said. I've played it for a little bit at a friends house now and can say that the PS2 version of Jeopardy BLOWS it away in EVERY single way. $15 or not that's flat out unacceptable. I hope another Jeopardy is made and done RIGHT next time.

I've been playing this for a couple days now and While I do agree that it should have more content, for $15 bucks I think it's well worth it. I've been playing it online like a crack addict since Saturday.

Logged 3 hrs with it yesterday and another 3 hours today. SO if your looking for someone to invite feel free.

My PSN id is : KillswitchKid

I am interested in seeing the updates (2009?!) because the questions are already starting to repeat themselves. Again for $15 bucks I can see a 2 hour movie and buy some popcorn, so allready this is well worth the DL IMO.

It's not that bad once you get past the issues. I had fun playing it, although I would have felt better if it were $9.99. Any chance of the updates to this game being free?

Its a big disappointment. PS2 version was way better in terms of game play and features. Graphics in this version are better, but it could be so much more with questions being read off and more cut scenes etc...this really is just a stripped down version.

I just saw this thread. I almost purchased it over the weekend, and I'm glad I didn't now.
