Ignore them.
Your TV should have Component inputs and/or HDMI inputs. The component input will be a red/blu/green 3 port input and will also require audio inputs, generally the red and white left right stereo cables. If your TV has HDMI the input will look like a shoter and wider USB input. The audio and video signal are both passed through this single cable so if you plug it in you are good to go. Unfortunately, the PS3 comes with neither of these hook ups out of box so you will need to purchase them on your own. I suggest monoprice.com as they have very cheap prices and sell reliable stuff. |

Don't listen to anyone knocking you about the size of your TV. Even at that size, you should still notice a big difference in the quality of Blu-Ray compared to DVD.
I have a 37" 720 HDTV, and the difference is incredible. Yeah, it may not be 1080P with a bigger size screen, and I would actually like to get something like that eventually (because it would be even better), but for now what I have is great. And I'm sure that for now, you're Samsung set will be great. Don't let anyone tell you that it's not good enough or that you won't notice a difference. Heck, I've heard of people connecting their Blu-Ray players to regular standard TVs just to see if they can notice a difference over standard DVD, and they often do (granted, it's no where near the same extent as when used on a HDTV, but there's still a difference). You made a good choice in getting the PS3 as your Blu-Ray player, and it's a good idea to starting getting a collection of Blu-Ray movies now. You will be able to enjoy the extra quality that you can get out of them with your current set up now, andi f you do decide to get a bigger TV with 1080p output down the road, you will already have a collection of movies to use on it. |

As for the harsh comments, I'm in no position to judge people or tell strangers how to spend their hard earned money. But if a friend were to spend tons of money on home theater and buy a ps3 and such to play on what I consider an "insufficient" television I surely would let him know. You will notice a difference from standard vs bluray on your current 26 but you will not see the huge difference as you would with a better set. You have a working setup but you also have a HUGE bottleneck that is your television. |

When you are in the PS3 XMB in the Video section where you see your blu-ray disc, press triangle to bring up a menu that includes 'eject disc' in it. Go down to 'eject disc' and press the x button to eject the disc with the controller.

If you get the PS3 remote, it has an eject button on the remote controller as well. But if you're changing disks, just hit the button in the middle of slot that looks like an arrow. It will eject the disk and you can swap it out without having to go through the extra work of hitting more buttons.
