Although the film isn't out yet, thought some would like to know that Future Shop has brought the price down to $24.99 from the $29.99 it has been at for the past month or so.

Most single disc catalog titles are priced at $20 or so. This one is $25 and comes in a steelbook and contains the 1932 "Scarface" film (DVD), a digital copy of the 1983 film and several (10 or so) art cards.

Not too shabby if you ask me.

I was on the fence for $30 on release day, for $25 I'll definitely bite!

You mean you're not getting the Limited Edition Gift Set with Humidor? Did they lower the price on that as well?

wouldnt this be the price on release day as well? i would order but i hate when the steelbooks come dented or damaged when shipped

Yes, the website says the price is in effect until Sept 8, and this is released Sept 6.

thanks for the post. i still think $24.99 is too much for a catalog title. steelbook or not. unless this is $19.99 on release day they arnt gonna see my money. yes i am a cheap bastard.. you kinda have to be when you have 800+ blus.

The only 2 single movies I've spend more than $10 on are Ghostbusters and Caddyshack, two of my most favourite movies, which I bought on day one.

Everything else has dropped to $10 or less.

Scarface will be day 1 as well, I just can't wait a month or so to see it drop

Oh well, three out of 115 isn't bad.

Wait till release day. Price shouldn't change. I just wanted to bring this to the attention of those who were holding back at $30.

Classic film, but I too would need to see this under $20 before I'd jump. It's been >25 years since we've seen this in full picture and sound, so a little while longer til it's on sale won't hurt.

People are excited Scareface is 25 bucks? Really? Awesome film but it's old and definately not something that's had a plethora of remaster and features added. $15 day 1 should be the price and $10 within 3 months. I could buy 3 other BDs for what people here are willing to shell out for this and they'd all be on the same level of Scarface. Hell Taxi Driver and Raging Bull were both $10 buys.

I mean this movie is a MUST BUY on DAY 1 especially now for $24.99 @ FS. (i know i will be there )

As for all the penny-munchers... sure you will be able to find scarface under some promotion for $10
like TAXI DRIVER was for BestBuy's DVD TRADE-IN program. But once again, TAXI DRIVE came out on APRIL 5 and DVD TRADE-IN deal ended last week AUG 18.

This is the Limited Edition Steelbook, so frankly, I expected a higher release price.

I'm sure the single disc in an amaray case will be around $10-15 whenever it comes out, but I'm willing to pay a bit extra to get both the 1983 and 1932 (DVD) films, plus the LE art cards and steelbook.

I also bought Taxi Driver and Raging Bull for $10. DVD Trade in?

i agree, this is limited, so i will buy this day one for the price
this is one of my fav movies, so collectibles(steelbook, cards) make the purchase so much easier, i cant afford the ridiculously priced humidor, so collectible steelbook will be good enough lol
if this were like Gangs of NY steelbook, i would wait for a price drop like i did, but i wana get my hands on this before they are all gone
