Oh yea, and don't forget about your ringwalk with the flame boiled BURGER KING. That was lame.

I'm questioning whether or not you've actually played the demo because the ref's are there whenever something happens... like a point deduction or the introduction (yea there's real introductions, that were absent in Round 3). The only time you'd see the ref in FN3 was when he was counting you out.

10. No type of authentic boxing presentation. (Compared to what Knockout Kings or Ready to Rumble boxing? Your on crack!) - so now we're comparing FN3 to a game from years back and one that isn't even a real boxing sim? Are you a real boxing fan? I'm not being scarcastic, I really wanna know because you kind of lost credibility with that statement. Go look up Lonsdale and Grant and see if they're in FN3.... He11 even Nike. They didn't even enter the ring wearing robes, or with a group of trainers in Round 3.... and like I said, the belts were imaginary.... but yea, that's authentic LMAO
I lost credibility?! That fine but you just wrote two whole paragraphs about how FNR3 isn't a real boxing simulation because they were sponsored by Burgerking and because the Intros didn't have the right songs and or guys wearing robes when they come out. Who gives a crap about intros I'd much rather have more focus on whats going in the ring rather than someone walking to it which I am pretty sure most people will watch once then skip. If you want real intros stick to real life buddy. Anywho FNR3 isn't without its problems I never claimed it was perfect but there are different boxing leagues or associations I guess you can say who have different boxers in them. FNR3 wasn't going to buy the rights to all of them. Sorry you can wipe your tears if you want. And you still can't answer my question...If you stating that this isn't a real boxing simulation (FNR3) then what are you comparing it to pre FNR4?!?!? I mean bash me all you want I couldn't care less, but I am saying that FNR3 for the time was A) Amazing obviously people on here care about FNR3 and what they are doing from then till now and some people like the change and some people don't...No matter what this is going to happen. I just don't see any improvement based on the demo from FNR3 and I don't see this as a real boxing simulation or even close. To me (now this is my own opinion) it plays more arcade like. Like I said before I really hope I get proved wrong when I play the game when my friend buys it but if I were EA I would have never released the demo to the public. The game will still sell good numbers based on FNR1+2+3 being highly successful but as you see here and elsewhere that people do and don't like the change.

I absolutely loved Knockout Kings 2000, but after trying out 2001, and realized they switched all the damn buttons on me, I just said to hell with it.

I hate finally getting a game down, and then their new one comes out and they switch what buttons are doing. I liked the combos and things like that, and then in 2001, they changed it up and I couldn't do that anymore.

And then I never bothered with any of the Fight Nights.

As I said in the GT thread, I hate when game makers try to "improve" a game and make it as realistic as possible, but somehow losing what I liked about it best.

I loved NFL Blitz, but the new Blitz is garbage with all the stupid Steroid stuff and whatnot.

Dreaming I can't agree more. I mean I hope this game comes out decent. But the demo was like a sledgehammer to the nuts to FNR3 fans. I don't see how this demo is giving fans anything they want besides a super fast arcade boxing game. And FNR3 has a TPC only lobby so why not put the buttons back in and let the TPC players have their own fun. Buttons FTW! I just don't think TPC is responsive to what you want it to do IMO, others disagree.

Am I the only person who loves this demo? FNR3 seemed to be all about standing there and leaning back, waiting for the other boxer to try and hit you, miss, and you counter. This game is more realistic to me. It's more about blocking the punches, not leaning out of the way, constantly waiting to counter. I haven't played FNR3 a whole lot, just with friends, and they all played that way. This is only my opinion of course.

Your not the only person who loves it lol. I just see many tweaks being fixed before the game shines like it should. It is definitely a much faster gameplay than FNR3. Blocking is mediocre I don't see a point to have the camera pan in and out and flash when you successfully block a punch...

The controls are subtley different which took me by surprise (I might need to look at the options as I prefer "down" to move the boxer backwards and "up" to move him forwards).

Otherwise it looks very polished, better presentation than FNR3 and clearly you won't be finishing fights in 2 or 3 rounds. The corner mini game is better too, less random and more control over how you can recover.

I liked it, I'll play this some more, go over the tutorial again to understand the control changes, but yep, this is a purchase

Demo was alright. I had no problem with the TCP, however i do have a problem with there being no option to switch movement control. Fight Night has always been one game where i hate using the analog stick to move. i have to use the direction pad, i play much more effective. Analog just seems clumsy and difficult. until they fix/patch this.........FN3 > FN4

or how people come out of the corner with a haymaker fully loaded to land(they are cocked back the entire time)

sure the game LOOKS SWEET but it has always played like crap.
just like basketball games, after a week or 2 im bored and never play the game again.

if i do get this game, itll be on a RENTAL basis and thats that.
ea wont sucker me into buying another fight night/knockout kings anymore.
i played the demo and its like every other ea game......very well anticipated & very well marketed.......only to be a very shallow game.

i wont even rent this game. everything feels arcadish & not a sim of the true sport of boxing

does ea make ANY sim games?

btw why does GT5 look so sweet yet any ea game looks like last gen graphics but with HD on it!?

Nope. I liked the demo a lot. Controls felt very natural and very responsive to me and I love that it's now 60 frames per second! To me that goes a long way in making it feel realistic

He may be in as DLC, but he's not on the official roster as of yet. Also, the CAB is really really deep.... and a lot of guys will be creating Mayweather, Holyfield, De La Hoya, etc. You can download others CAB's.

Thanks for the info. Downloading/uploading CAB's seems like a really cool feature!
