Did the second bolded text have anything to do with the first.

I despise Steven Seagal films, Anime, and Japanese horror. I have some Steven Seagal movies and I do not like any of them. I can't bring myself to watch any Anime. I have a few Japanese horror films and their US remakes. It seems like all Japanese horror movies are about ghosts. They definitely need some good or more slasher films then I might like them better.

Untrue -- you must not be looking that hard into it if that is the way it seems to you.

Drama and Teen Movies. Can't stand them!
Suspense movies are also a turn-off.

They can be a lot of fun... for a while. Sleeping with one eye open does wear on you though.

Anyway, to steer this post back on topic. I really don't like many movies with the term "bittersweet" in the preview voice-over or on the movie poster/BD cover. Don't know if that classifies as a genre though.

I try to stay away from most things with subtitles. I don't want to read my movies.
If I want to read, I'll pick up a good book.

I don't watch "reality" TV shows. These are junk. There are no reality. It's just the studios lazy way of airing something. Wave a million bucks in front of people, turn the camera on, set up some stupid scenario, and watch them make idiots out of themselves. I can waste my time on something else better then this.

Another thing that I avoid is the horror genre. This is such a useless, dumb, and overdone segment. There is no original or interesting concepts. None of them are really scary, just gory and gross.

"A group of (teens, people, kids, whatever) go somewhere that is rumored to be terrible (someone may have been killed there long ago) because there was (a legend, a curse, a monster, a killer, a maniac, ???) but they have no good sense to stay away. They get to this place which is out in the middle of nowhere at night and proceed to spread out. One by one, they get picked off by something. They were killed by (knife, axe, saw, whatever). Everybody is surprised that this happens. At the end, somebody managed to survive to tell the tale. Duh! There wouldn't be any problem if they were smart enough to stay away in the first place".

Think of the scene from the "Scary Movie" spoof where Carmen Electra was running away from the killer and saw the road signs. One says "Safety", the other says "death". She runs in the direction of "death".

For most of the other genres, I may watch certain shows/movies if it seems interesting from their advertisements.
