I don't know about underrated, but if you like westerns and John Wayne then you must see The Searchers. On Blu it looks fantastic. It's damn good movie also.

I don't here all these other non English speaking country's complaining about almost every movie being in English and having to read subtitles.
There are many people who don't like reading subtitles when watching a film. That's why the fact that it's subtitled is listed clearly on the packaging, and why that information is displayed prominently in any review of the film that you will find. Just because you personally don't happen to care, It's hardly a "Who Cares" situation. Also, if you had bothered to think about my post before responding, you might have noticed that I was RECOMMENDING this as a quality film. But, I certainly would not want anyone to go out and purchase it, or even rent it, if they happen to fall into the don't-like-subtitles category. The fact that a film is subtitled is necessary information.

Bumping this old thread for more recommendations for my BB Queue.

I'll recommend watching/buying David Fincher's Zodiac. I feel like this film kinda flew under the radar. It is fantastic in all areas. Definitely check it out if you haven't already.

YES! Love that movie. Saw it at Sundance last year (and again at the Tribeca Film Fest). Can't say anything about how the blu-ray transfer is, though I am pretty sure that most of the music that was in it originally when I saw it never even made it to the actual theatrical run of the film, but I'm sure the picture is still quite special.

I'd like to throw some love behind Sunshine Cleaning and The Answer Man, two more I saw at Sundance and thus can't say how their blu-ray transfers are, but as movies I thought they were both quite entertaining. Might suggest renting The Answer Man as oppose to making it a blind buy, and maybe ditto with Sunshine Cleaning, though with it now being on sale for $9.99 at Amazon I don't think you can go wrong.

Two of my surprises from Blockbuster were Mean Creek and L.I.E. L.I.E. is actually one of my favorite movies. I don't like explaining it to people but once you see it, it will change your life.

City of God is a really, really good film. The disc is great as well, with awesome PQ and AQ and a really interesting documentary film.

I love Jawbreaker, an underrated teen black comedy.
