I have the JP steelbook version , so I won't double dip on this. I wouldn't have bought the six disc edition anyway.

Is the T2 Skynet edition 2 discs? or 1?

Well the original release wasn't very good PQ wise. And it didn't feature any lossless audio.

Read the release info. It's the two previous DVD releases, the Blu-Ray, and a Digital Copy.

Additionally, Lionsgate will release the 'Limted Edition T2 Complete Collector's Set', a six disc set which will feature the Blu-ray release of the film along with Extreme Edition DVD and Ultimate Edition DVD versions of the film and a digital copy.

Lionsgate did the same thing with Halloween. Doing a big set with the DVDs and Blu-Ray.

And are doing the same thing with the upcoming Hellraiser release.

as of right now it has not been confirmed which edition the new T2 bluray will be. i would guess both theatrical and extended versions...

IGN has coverart and says multiple high definition versions of the film with 6.1 DTS-HDMA audio. There is also a trailer which mentions theatrical and special edition versions of the film.

I might be wrong but i'am pretty sure it will use the same master as the UK and Japan (they are identical). If they use the US Extended cut from the DVD, it was Ultra Edge Enhanced, but i doubt it..
