they're not ripping off customers. that's just how imports works. anytime you import something over to the u.s. the price of what you're importing will go up. it happens all the time with cd's. it's not uncommon at all. it's fairly regular practice. there's no ripping off to be had.

Looks like Amazon has matched Best Buy's $88.99 price. Still too high in my opinion. However, Warner Home Video finally has it up for $99.99, and with coupon code FBBM9 it will be $74.99 with free shipping. That code is only valid for February, but a new March code should come. Only problem is when I put the item in my cart I got a message that "There is no valid item in your request." I assume this would be fixed soon.

When you can go on Amazon's UK site and buy it from there for $12 cheaper, I'd say that yes, they are ripping people off. What's the point in allowing Americans to buy from the UK site if they're going to have that kind of discrepancy between the "import" on the U.S. site and buying from the UK site? If you want to buy just the first two movies, the difference comes out to around $18 even after shipping. $60 vs. $42. Now what customer in their right mind would choose to buy the "import" from Amazon's American site for $30 a pop in that scenario? Only the uninformed.

I loved the Burton's films, I don't mind having the other 2. What bothers me is the SLIM cases that are released in the US package of the four. Does anybody who imported the 4 batmans film from UK have any pictures to share, I would love to see them before deciding if to import or to buy the local release.
Thanks!

what your forgetting are the import taxes that are not applied by amazon, some people get lucky and avoid these taxes, i would assume that the price of an imported movie includes these taxes

Off topic a bit but did anyone get some of these through Netflix? They didn't send any to me though they were a priority. I often wonder if they just list a release date for a title and don't actually have it to rent.

Same story here. At first in my queue to be released the 17th, then to very long wait.
