yeah But it really sucks that the online community has to wait after helping people on the street see it today. I spent my whole evening messing with this viral marketing only to have to wait till Sunday now. I know the people on the street did a lot of work as well. But I don't live near any of those cities. I just feel ripped off. The viral marketing is having a negative effect on me. Screw you WB.

Yeah! Next time don't let ANYONE see the trailer until Sunday!!! You know they don't have to do any of the stuff they did today. They could just make you wait until Speed Racer... or just not release another trailer at all. I suggest being grateful for the ammount of effort they're puting into this and making it one of the most unique marketing strategies I have ever seen.

My point was why have us help the people on the street get to see the trailer why we have to wait. There should have been some kind of reward for those of us at home.Like letting us see it a few hours later or even the very next day. Not wait almost a week. Or at least be very clear we got nothing out of it personally so we don't waste time.

Why hold back a two minute trailer from rabid fans if your giving the thing away to people anyways in film reels.

Believe me, I think its cool and would have been on the street if it had been anywhere near me. But it was not.

I'm just miffed at the treatment they gave the online viral fans today. Hell a teaser for the trailer would have been better than nothing.

Yeah I am from Minneapolis, so the closest place to me was Chicago. All I got to do was sit and read about the adventures the people were having. But maybe someone will transfer the reel to quicktime or something!

But when WB puts this up, it better not be in mono like the last trailer... now that made me angry! It really ruins the effect the score has!

Also why should I be grateful? They need me and they need you and they need people we know. They need us to see the movie. They want our money. They should be grateful we are interesting in what they are selling.

I'm not the only jaded fan out there tonight. IMDB and Superherohype is full of ticked off viral fans right now.

I plan on seeing Speed Racer anyways cause it looks like a lot of fun.

I'm not sure how hard it would be to convert one of those reels over. I'm sure its not a easy task thou.

Our best hope is for a bootleg. But the security from all the stories seemed pretty tight.

I might just wait for Speed Racer now anyways.

I think I'm through with the viral marketing unless I can really participate.

"Kingdom of Heaven" is over 3 hrs and MPEG-2, and looks excellent. Now that Warner will be encoding with a mind towards BD-50 and using a better codec, this should look stunning.

I agree 100%. If the runtime of The Dark Knight is 165 minutes as rumored, WB should have no trouble giving us a high bit-rate VC-1 encode, and 24 bit Dolby TrueHD. If they want to include all HD extras, then throw a second disc (i.e. a BD25) in there and make it a 2 disc set a la Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean series.

In the Blu-Ray HD world, there is NEVER an excuse (now that HD DVD is dead and, hence, no more "lowest common denominator" factor) to skimp on the A/V quality.

Isn't it funny how with the Universal and Paramount announcements of re-encodes, and lossless audio on their releases that Warner Bros. has kind of gone from "hero" to "we're worried they're going to screw something up"?

I do think some of the comments directed towards WB are valid. However, I think once we get past the pipeline of discs that were meant for both formats...that's when we'll really see if there is indeed anything to be worried about with regards to WB.

I'm willing to give them a chance. However, if they F up something like The Dark Knight later this year (i.e. massive DNR, no lossless, no HD extras, etc), it will be unforgivable IMHO.
