PS I have the whole Alice Cooper collection on vinyl! Except Brutal Planet, Dragontown and Dirty Diamonds that were never issued on vinyl... yet anyway!
Hahahaha. You outbid me for Dada. I submitted my bid, but I never had time to go back and rebid once I was outbid. You beat me by a frigging dollar! As much as I love Alice, I realize it is a tall order to try to get the whole collection. I have the two most important to me: Killer and LITD.

And yes, I found out about that School's Out reissue about a month ago. Will definitely be picking it up.

LOL Small World or what!!!

Great to meet another Alice Fanatic

I gotta say, the coolest Alice Cooper album on vinyl has to be From the Inside... the cover opens up in a few spots, great artwork inside... etc. Very fun design.

Hot Chip "Made In The Dark"

Pretty cool electronic/live elements with vocals. Kinda dancey. The sound quality is good so far. I'm always skeptical when buying an LP from a "newer" band.

Your going to laugh but I picked up a used Joe Cocker's greates hits for 2 bucks, and I said to myself this guys really good. I listen to it all the time. I always new about Joe Cocker, but never really listened to his music. That's what so great about vinyl it forces you listen to the music.

I won't laugh Joe, but I will agree that vinyl is a medium that forces (to use your word) a true listening session. One is not apt to walk away and forget about what is playing. There is whole interactive thing that occurs when playing vinyl. You don't get that experience listening to CD or your MP3 player.

Just went to my local record store and picked up Mer De Noms by A Perfect Circle and Plans by Death Cab For Cutie. Both of them were 180g too! Listening sounds so good, I can only wait to get my new TT.

I was very pleased with the Plans pressing. Very nice vinyl used, whisper quiet, as well as I didn't need to use new inner sleeves as they came with the anti-static/paper combo sleeves so the paper is never against the vinyl.

Listening to What Sarah Said and Brothers In A Hotel Bed and then throwing on the CD, it's amazing how much more of the performance you hear on the vinyl.

Sweet, I just picked up a european pressing of this through Discogs which I should get this week-end. Love this album, especially the instrumentals of course. The opening track and The Forgotten I & II are just awesome.

Saw Satch last year in Buffalo, terrific show.

Anyone looking for a copy of the extremely hard to find 2LP issue of Jimmy Eat World "Futures" (a fantastic album full of great melody) it's in stock at Western Tread's online store.

http://www.stinkweeds.com/westerntread/

This is the ONLY place that has it in stock right now. Probably a very limited 2nd pressing.

If you're not familiar with JEW, you should be, the last two albums have shown emotional, deep, hard rockin' tunes that fit just about any taste where rock is concerned.

I'm always looking around at various places for used vinyl and I came across a few that I just had to buy yesterday. I already own all of these, but I bought them as the vinyl itself is in absolutely mint condition. It doesn't even look like they've ever been played. The jackets on some have the previous owner's name written on them, but I didn't care about that as my copies are in good condition. I thought these purchases would make for great back-up copies, should something ever go wrong with mine.

They were $2 each........

If you're interested, you can see what I've been listening to here. Most of the records are recent purchases. I'm just too lazy to duplicate the info.

Seeing that 2-LP of The Elephant Man was interesting. I loved the movie (would be great on BD I think). What can you tell me about the tracks on this vinyl?
