I definitely enjoyed it, and thought it was very well done, especially given the budget. Not sure I'd really have repeated viewings of it though. I would have probably enjoyed it more, but unfortunately I saw Neil Marshall's next film first - "The Descent" - so my expectations were probably a little too high. Very cool to see the indie/import stuff coming to BD though!

I'm with ya on that, very good werewolf flick. I will be purchasing this one and selling my DVD copy.

I wonder what ever happened with the sequel, I remember reading it was "in the works" years ago.

AGREED! "Dog Soldiers" would make for a good sequel... but the "The Descent"??? For the love of good, why? PERFECT ending to that movie (going with the original UK ending) that is not left open for a sequel. The line of reasoning "well you don't actually see them die" kills me. Why is it that a director actually has to show a character as a corpse to prove 100% that they're dead.

I liguidated a huge chucnk of my DVDs in order to purchase my Blu-ray player/collection. I only held on to a few movies on DVD just because they were among my favs (Braveheart, Star Wars, Fight Club, etc., etc., etc.,).

Dog Soldiers was one of the few DVDs that I also held on to. I only recently sold it to FYE (they gave me $2) when I heard about the release on BD. I purchased it at Best Buy for $4.99 after seeing it on the Sci-Fi channel. That movie is AWESOME!! One of the greatest werewolf flicks ever. I am so hyped about this movie and will be there day and date for this release.

I caught some of Dog Soldiers on Sci-Fi over 2 years ago and just watched 2 minutes because I assumed it was a Sci-Fi Original Movie (and we all know they are classic movie).

After watching The Descent several times I definitely need to sit down and watch Dog Soldiers in it's entirety. I loved The Descent. Neil Marshall definitely has talent. It was definitely one of the better horror movies to come out in the last few years.

The sequel was to be be called "Dog Soldiers:Fresh Meat" but there is no talk of it now. They even took down the IMDB page for it.

Don't know what to think about this review, I'm still getting it as I sold off my SD version.

Are there any other reviews of this blu-ray out there?

I'll pick this up as soon as I can.
A. I really dig a good werewolf flick, and this is one.
B. Neil is a great guy and I'll support anything he does.

Just got it from Amazon and skimmed through it. The PQ isn't exactly reference quality, but since I never bought it on DVD and it was only $12.99, I'll gladly welcome it into my collection.
