I just got my 8330 curve in january and already got my sights on a 9000 series BB or an iphone. The curve is okay but I want a faster web browser.

Someone found a screen allowing you to upload video to a MobileMe account. That must mean that the 3rd-gen iPhone will support video capture.

I ordered a car charger for my 3G iPhone and after I got it noticed it said for 1st gen iPhones only. The plug fits in my phone and the phone does go into charge mode. Does anyone know if using a 1st gen charger on a 2nd gen phone can cause any kind of damage?

I wouldn't see why not, but I'm not an expert on the subject. I've got a snowboarding jacket that's "made for iPods" (playback control buttons on the outside of the sleeve), yet the iPhone still plugs into it and all its functions still work as they should. A warning message even pops up on my iPhone screen saying "this device isn't meant to work with an iPhone" (or something similar to that), yet it still works perfectly.

Cool... thanks.... just didn't want to blow it up since they refuse to insure the damn things.

where'd you see that?

i found this tho. looks like there's evidence of new iphone and touches on the way

“Apple normally makes their device IDs in chronological order, from first released to last released. Here is what I found very interesting for you. Quick, here is an example of the past devices:

iPhone First Gen - 0×1290
iPod touch 1G - 0×1291
iPhone 3G - 0×1292
iPod touch 2G - 0×1293

Then, here is what is found in the ramdisk:

iPhone2,1 - 0×1294
iProd0,1 - 0×1295
iPod2,2 - 0×1296
iPhone3,1 - 0×1297
iFPGA - 0×1298
iPod3,1 - 0×1299″

As you can see, there are multiple new hardware IDs listed which makes us believe there will be more than one new iPhone model, and there also looks like there is more than one iPod Touch as well.
sad ill have to sell my 2g touch so soon

What's an iprod? Two iphones coming out? Hmmm.... Wonder what they'll have. Can't upgrade till december, but still if it comes out in june/july I won't have to wait forever to get a new one by that time.

Do you know cellphone screens look like even after a good collection of wipes.. They look only slightly better.. some smears never go away...

The only solution is to take all your clothes off pour gasoline on them set them on fire and dance around them pouring bleach into the fire and then throwing the cellphone in to the super bleach fire and call upon the great powers of Ifrit through a summoning requests usually a blood summon, then order him to consume the cellphone in fire.

After that the screen and the cell and everything within 10 - 15 mile approximate will be gone..

Yay the smuges are gone.

LMAO DK. Yeah, it does get annoying with a touchscreen but wiping it with my shirt gets all the smudges off for me. I like the walkman line too and xtop posted a new line of those that should be coming out so that one has my interest.

Then I guess my shirt must have alot more oil, because when I wipe them with a tshirt the smuges always get worse.. I have a special cloth used for electronics and sometimes it can get smudges out... but it requires some heavy duty smuge removal action.

btw see what happens when dk has no energy drinks and is forced instead to consume unrealistic amounts of coffee instead.

o GeForce graphics technology architected for low-power applications
o Superior 3D user interface capabilities based on a unique compositing framework that delivers seamless web browsing
* NVDIA nPower™ technology

for those that won't watch the video in the link. the device being showed off can dual boot wm6 and android. and was playing 2 720p videos in the background and was still silky smooth while doing other tasks. its freaking amazing. i'm officially waiting until a phone with this chipset releases

Every company is trying so hard to design something that will finally beat out the ever so popular iPhone. It's not gonna happen! A regular cell phone company can't beat out a computer company.

I have asked this question a lot to people, and I always get a weird look, so here goes. Do you guys really NEED a cell phone or do you WANT one? Why can't you just be satisified with a land line? From what I have heard, cell phones are still not crystal clear and they still drop calls, and the price is way to high. Take that Sprint plan, everything for $99 a month, and the CEO of the company is practically begging you to buy it, disgusting. Thoughts?

i use my cell more for other things than i do a phone, so i suppose i see your point. but if you're never home, like most people are, why not have one?
