lol i had a pretty good idea of the plot from the get go also, but still truly enjoyed this, the performances alone especially between smith and dawson were enough to keep me interested, absolutely loved this, been a while since a movie got me choked up AND left me with that wow feeling. I didn't see this as a suspense movie as in you watch it once and never again, this wasn't an m. knight movie by any means. Look forward to watching this with a few friends tomorrow.

EDIT: wow after reading the reviews on this site and all over the net, i must have missed the whole point of this movie, apparently it was a suspense movie? and if your smart enough to figure it out early in SINCE THEY TELL YOU FLAT OUT "GIVING MY ORGANS" lol then its not enjoyable ??? i think the story of what this man did to find redemption and affect lives as well as the performances is what really grabbed me, case of to each his own which is why i never trust reviews

Hello friends,
I was wondering if anyone else has this problem.
I did buy the movie "Seven Pounds" and when I did try to play it on my Play Station, it was not possible and I came out an error message mentioning that the video could not be played.

I went to the store to change it quickly.
Once I did change it, I ask to the seller to test the movie there.
They tested on a Samsung player and the movie played without problem.

When I got home, I tried immediately and what a surprise again! the same error message on the Play Station.

Anyone else had this problem?

I haven't put the movie into my PS3, but I watched it flawlessly on the BDP-S350. Is your PS3 firmware up to date?

Thank you; my PS3 is always up-to date. As a matter of fact, when the error message appeared, the first action I took was check if the last update was installed and it was.
Its funny that 2 copies of this film have issues to be played.
I change the movie for "The weeding singer".
I really wants to have this movie, but I´m afraid to buy again this one and have the same problem.

I just finished watching Seven Pounds over the weekend on my 60gb PS3. I had no issues whatsoever.

No issues on my PS3. Of course, make sure you have the most up-to-date firmware.

Has your PS3 had trouble with any other BD-ROMs, including games? Might be a more serious hardward problem taking place...

Newest firmware was released last week, I would doublecheck that as if its up to date, your drive may be going bad

This is the only disc that my PS3 could not play including games.

Where are you residing crispicazzo? The reason I ask is that I hear SEVEN POUNDS is region locked to Zone A. I'm still awaiting my copy. If you have a Zone B (Euro / Oceania) model it wont play.

Definitely not worth a blind-buy. And I say that because of the mixed-reviews. There's a good chance you might regret it, but if you're a Will Smith fan, you can't go wrong, because it is likeable. I say rent it first.
