I guess it's been delayed. I got an email from Amazon stating that the estimated arrival would be between November 6th and the 16th.

It's too bad it wont be out before Halloween.

It still days the date is 10/27.

I've never seen this film (or even heard about it before) and you people have got me interested. What's it like? And is its merit it's b-grade cheesiness, or nostalgia value? Or is it something more?

It's been so long since I saw it myself, so maybe it's just nostalgia...? hehe. Remember watching this as a kid and LOVING it! It got all the 80's horror tricks you love, and you can't go wrong with a movie where slugs go into your brain and make you a zombie.

If you love 80's horror, this is a sure bet!!

What's with the shit-tastic cover art? This movie had the most kick-ass posters ever, and this is the artwork they choose?!?!

EDIT: I see the cover has the DVD logo, but I can only assume they are using this for the blu-ray as well....

Sony and Amazon.com had a poll for what cover art the release would be given... and I can't remember what the choices were but none of them looked close to the old poster artwork.

They all looked sort of generic to me. I know voted for for the cover that did win, but the other two choices weren't great at all.

Can't see your image at work though for some odd reason. will have to look at it from home.

Night of the Living Dead is already out... Not the best version from what I've read, so I'm waiting for a killer release!!

Another week doesn't matter to me as long as I get this movie, never got to see it in the theater but I loved it when I saw it on VHS. Hopefully we can get a Blu-Ray of Return on the Living Dead with the original music soundtrack someday.

I agree cover sucks, but so did all the options. Might be going with a custom cover from here if someone makes one.
Zydrate is there something on the dvdactivewebsite in regards to a new pic I couldn't find it. All that shows on the screen is the store name/website. There is no way to click the pic.

Edit: Nevermind. It's wierd sometimes the pic comes up and sometimes it doesnt, BUT I see what Zydrate is posting. If you cannot view the pic go to the website it is a diff cover for the bluray.
Thank GOD still not as good as the poster art, but hell of alot better

Here's some great news!!!!!

At the Monster-Mania convention, Fred Dekker said; if we ever do see a MONSTER SQUAD Blu-ray, it will be coming soon. He also said he'd love to do a direct MONSTER SQUAD sequel as a graphic novel because no one would ever let him make the movie he wants to make nowadays. He promises that the NIGHT OF THE CREEPS Blu-ray is jam-packed with documentaries and other goodies, and if it sells well, he will definitely push for a sequel.
