oh man i should have come to this thread earlier.. never really look at the sub forums
for those of you who want stands for the surrounds, check these out its what i ordered http://www.sanus.com/us/en/thumbnail...mal&asset=true the finish matches almost perfectly with the cherry finish speakers, the stands just have a few more coats of varnish on them, quite glossy i ordered from here (my local shop tried charging me $350+ for them... insane) http://www.surroundsolutions.com/cgi...Systems%20NF30 they come in different sizes but the 30" was the perfect choice for ear level i find ill try taking some pictures of the setup sometime.. im just so lazy Last edited by X400; 08-29-2009 at 07:20 AM. |

I promised a picture when it was done, so here are my Mirages in place. I'm lucky to have a storage room right behind that wall, so running wires was easy. I just put in a single gang for the signal wires, and another plate for cable and cat5 for my xbox.
I also have my PC connected to my system through the wall. The wall color looks yellowish in these low light pics, but it is "Lariat Tan". The Onkyo loves it new home as well! crappy blackberry camera. sorry. still need to add a few room tweaks and such, but im so happy to have my new home and theater! no more "town Home" theater! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

indeed. its like a seamless wall of sound across the front, and having a well insulated room does wonders for the bass. my wife hates the center channel being there. she says it detracts from the sleekness, but i refuse to put it on one of the cabinet shelves, since it would be off center

no, that was the mockup before we mounted the TV. it was just to gauge distance. I managed to get the mounted tv just above the center channel with only milimeters to spare. I think you are good with the TV sitting on the center. it seems to be stable

It not on the center.I took a shelf.Skinned it with speaker cloth.put it on its side(vertical).Put the TV on it.Wired the back to the wall with hooks(just for piece of mind). I kind of did the same thing that the PS3 is on ,but horizontal The center is in front of the homemade stand(that the TV is on) That sits on my Glass stand ![]() This is an older pic,But you get the Idea ![]() Last edited by ozzman; 09-01-2009 at 05:58 PM. |

I just joined the club with you guys. I ordered 3 Omni C150s for my new front sound stage. At $70 each @ vanns.com I couldn't pass it up. Upgradeitis has been killing me lately and I was going to hold off until sometime next year to start the process, but I know I will never be able to get such a sweet deal for a solid 3 piece matching sound stage again.
The next step is upgrading my receiver, but that's not going to happen for a while. I will probably just use my current satellites as my surround speakers. Will probably sell my the other two satellites and current center channel away on craigslist and recoup some of the money I just dropped on the Mirage's. |

Finally updated my gallery to proudly display my mirage speakers, paired with my new Yamaha receiver. Am really enjoying the sound.

its set to small in my Onkyo, although when I ran the Audessy setup, it turned od double bass and it was WAY to much. I'll have to check the Crossover setting in the Onkyo setup menu. Actually I have to re-run the Audessy setup, because I moved the speakers a bit. |

Nice setup, I just added the Mirage 150's for my surrounds. They definitely fill the room with sound. Last edited by Vento_Dub9; 10-23-2009 at 07:50 PM. |

I mentioned in a previous thread that I have a 5.1 set up in my bedroom of Mirage Omnis. A CC, 2 60s and 2 OmniSats plus two S8s. In that small confinement the sound is immense. The soundstage was taller, wider and larger. That Omniguide technology is the bomb.
I read from an UltimateAV review that for "serious listening" they recommend to take the grilles off. For some reason, that did not work for me so I placed them back on. Too diffuse for my taste. Covered up, imaging was better while maintaining the huge staging. I love the set-up. Watching regular TV, DVDs or Blus are really enjoyable. They are all powered more than adequately by an Adcom GFP-7607 at 120 watts per channel. Last edited by gcchifi; 11-04-2009 at 11:05 PM. |

New to the Mirage family. Just purchaced OS3 Fs and OS3-cc. 2 Omni sats for surrond are on order. These were not my first choice but the wife would not go for larger speakers. Upgraded form Bose AM system and I like it much better. New to HT so hopefully I can get better sound when I lean more about setup. Will post some pics soon.

nice speakers Sean.
Granted that Energy and Mirage were both owned by API prior to klipsch, its funny to see that your mirage speakers have the same ribbed eliptical rubber and Kevlar drivers from Energys RC series. It even says on the Mirage site, "a patented ribbed Eliptical rubber surround", and then on Energys site is says "our patented ribbed eliptical surrounds" funny the way technology was shared by the 2 companies. |
