let us know your opinions. I read the worst reviews on it. Although I did read some bad reviews for cross edge too and I enjoyed that.

Sakura Wars: So Long my Love out now. Got mine from a pre-order but I have much to finish up before I start playing it.

What's on tap for your TV?

I'm likely playing Sakura after I finish up Shining the Holy Ark, Shining Force 3, and Final Fantasy.

I have certainly been longing for the day a Sakura game comes out in America. If only they'd release the rest of 'em.

Picked it up yesterday, played the first chapter. So far, very nice work on the localization by NISA, one of their best yet. Played the first chapter in Japanese, the translation is still a little too close to the dub script but it's well-written.

And even though I generally am okay with NISA's dubs, this one took me by surprise; it's actually notably better than I expected. Haven't met all the characters yet, but so far all the acting is excellent, and I prefer the dub Kayama and Sunny. A couple actors are reaching a bit out of their normal range (as is usual) and I could tell, but the performances were good enough I didn't care. Being able to ignore lip-flaps and even sometimes the script does wonders. Yes, JYB is Taiga, we'll live, I'm sure (I like him, but I don't watch many dubs so he's not overplayed for me). It's not like he has many voiced lines.

Working on final endings of At3 that I need since got most of them. Also with anime Blu-rays and dvds to watch. I guess I should have tooken the shortcuts in the game. Oh well pretty soon it wouldn't matter anyways since i'll be completely done with it soon enough and then just wait for the American release to re-enjoy the game.

Wanted to spend time with FFXIII but couldn't because my PS3 won't let me play it.

Last Rebellion, I own it but meh just no time to play it even though I keep hearing how short the game is and that the main characters are very annoying like Nine being pretty much an ass.

Tried Bayonetta but didn't like it as much as I thought I would.

I do plan to get that new Pachinko game.

Also got Tears to Tiara Gaiden, Afrika, Star Ocean, White Knight, and more to work on so yeah too many games and this is only the ones i'm playing on my PS3.

Sakura Wars: So Long My Love Gets Some Love

http://ps2.ign.com/articles/108/1080744p1.html

IGN's Editor's Choice Award that is with a 9.0 rating.

I honestly think after playing through the 1st chapter that if this is our last JRPG to come stateside for PS2 then IMHO it ended quite well because how much awesome this game is though I wish more would make it stateside.

Yeah, that's a fantastic review from IGN (mainly Sam Bishop, who has good taste in games apparently). Overall, the game is reviewing better than I thought it would given the age and quirkiness of it. There's a few harsh reviews; especially puzzling is RPG Gamer's review that mainly complained that the game was too long. A 9.0 from IGN means a lot though.

Several major online retailers are already sold out, including Amazon which promised more copies on the way for the Wii version. I'm starting to think NISA might actually break even on it...

Sorry for the bump, but thought it'd be ok, with talk of Last Rebellion.

I just finished playing through the game this morning which took 11 and a half hours to fully complete the game with the optional bosses and all of the trophies (Which you get through the story anyway).

I thought it was a good game overall, fair enough the graphics aren't as great as other PS3 games, but gameplay is the main thing for me. The battle system was great and even though the game was quite short overall, it was a very enjoyable game to play through and complete.

I'd recommend it to anyone if they can pick it up cheap and enjoy turn based RPG's.

I completed it a long time ago but yeah it's not that bad of a game. I know Gamestop has it for $20 for a new copy now, so that should get some people interested if they want a quick and easy JRPG on PS3 and great for trophy hunters.

I think if the game used a little higher budget, the great CG artwork would of really looked nice.

I picked up Last Rebellion last week. But I'm playing Atelier Rorona and Hyperdimension Neptunia right now along with a few other things. I'm not sure if I can handle all of these games and LR. Picked up Eternal Sonata yesterday too.
