Since people get items early, can anyone tell me the dimensions of the item and the weight? You usually can't tell from pictures, so if anyone knows where to find it or got it early let me know.

One would think the webisodes would be perfect for BD-Live.. Instead of any 'mail-in' to get them.

Watch the 3-hour mini-series. Chances are, you'll be hooked. But if for some crazy reason it doesn't do it for you, then this show's not for you.

I've been asking this question everywhere, but can anyone who has seen this set confirm which version of the main title music is used for Season One? Is it the UK theme, which was used for the other three seasons, or the alternate US theme?

I actually think you should get to the first episode of the series proper before you decide. If 33 minutes doesn't hook you, nothing will.

i had never gotten to the show...but had heard so much about it. always thought about renting it. then i heard there was a blu set coming out. i rented the first disc of season one (the miniseries) on dvd finally very recently.

the dvd is such bad quality picture wise, i couldn't imagine watching anymore of it at this point, possibly to reaffirm how much i think i might like it. but, i don't need to. the mini-series had me hooked an hour in and only kept me hooked.

even having never seen it, having heard all the recommendations, the reviews, etc....and having enjoyed the miniseries so thoroughly..i have no fear in blind buying the entire set blind for 200 bucks. doesn't seem that expensive to me considering the amount of episodes and how good the show has been received.

normally i would watch a handful more episodes to be sure..but the dvd picture was dreadful, i can't imagine any fan of it not rebuying it on blu at some point. even if i don't like it (i doubt it) when i get through a chunk of the series, i'm sure i could find a happy taker here on blu-ray.com

worth the risk

The picture quality was deliberately tampered with to give the show a grimy appearance. That being said, the Blu-ray is going to be heads and tails better than the DVDs, but if you're expecting high-definition will make it look perfectly flawless, you're going to be sorely disappointed. Just keep in mind that the way it looks is purely intentional.

no, i've heard that. but it makes for a very bad dvd, if you are into hd at all. i've seen clips of the show in hd on scifi in passing, and that wasn't even close. blu ray should be at least good hd quality, though not great

Is it easy to get the discs in and out of those holders? Does it feel like it's good protection for the discs, or is it kind of crappy?

CLM,

Could you check one of the Season One episodes and let us know which version of the main title music is used? Thanks!
