![]() Also, I noticed a pattern with Diamond Edition/3D releases: 2011 and 2013 both had "Disney Renessance" titles being released in 3D (Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King in 2011, The Little Mermaid in 2013). I wonder why Aladdin isn't going to be in 3D. (I blame Genie's glow being tough to work with.) ![]() |

It costs money to create a 3D presentation, and it only made sense to convert it in 3D if a theatrical release was planned. Beauty and the Beast did get a 3D theatrical release (paired with the short Tangled Ever After) after the Lion King's 3D theatrical release did well. Sure, it got a 3D BD release prior to Its 3D theatrical release, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was always intended to be released theatrically in 3D. But BATB, along with Finding Nemo and Monsters Inc.'s 3D release failed to achieve the numbers the Lion King earned. So The Little Mermaid's 3D theatrical release was canceled (along with Cars and Ratatouille). Last edited by disneywildcat; 07-28-2015 at 01:33 AM. |

(On the Blu-Ray itself, I think I'll be getting the Disney Store preorder with lithographs. I recently discovered that they are roughly 1.5-1.75x the size of a letter piece of paper, and the picture choices are great (apart from Stock Art Jafar's). I only got into Disney Blu-Rays in May-June, but still, they're great to have!) |

Aside from blatant censorship, the main problem people seem to have with that change is it being so obvious. The dubbing for the replaced vocal is much deeper than the original, which makes it stand out more...and not in a good way.

I can't wait for the digibook! Those are my fave. I don't understand how Disney decides which releases get which editions. Little Mermaid had a digi, Aladdin will, but Lion King & Beauty and the Beast didn't. Would've loved the whole set. Why not them instead of Cinderella & Peter Pan? Hell, even the horrible Brave got one. Smh

Disney Movies Anywhere has posted the "Genie-Oke" for "Arabian Nights" on the application, but not on YouTube yet. There's less effort put in than the one for "One Jump Ahead", but it's still nice IMO. It shows screenshots of the movie with the lyrics cutting into the middle revealing the next screenshot, and that's about it.

i don't THINK so, unless you use PayPal. I just used PayPal because it came out right away and I didn't want to forget about the purchase and then accidentally spend the money elsewhere, etc.

Best Buy will put a hold on your card when you pre-order. Then it goes away after a few days. Then when the item ships they actually charge the card.
