I was thinking they might try and pull Petersen away from Boise State.

Don't give me this crap that Oklahoma, or Texas, or Texas Tech, or even West Virginia would have no shot to beat A&M. College football simply doesn't work that way. And yes, I knew you weren't an SEC-homer. But that is the type of thing they always claim. Doing things like defending an eek-out win against Vanderbilt because Vanderbilt is SEC! They'd probably win other conferences! |

And West Virginia/Texas/Texas Tech's defenses would have no shot against TAM. Oklahoma could have a shot, but I don't think they're as good this year as people wanted to make them out to be. |

That great A&M D has giving up 17 pts a game in conference. The mighty SEC. They gave up 57 to La. Tech.

There is no proof that the SEC is a powerhouse this year. The entire conference has ONE quality out of conference win. And that's only if you consider Michigan a quality team, which is actually dubious given how dreadful the Big 10 has appeared. What have we seen beyond that? Games where the so-called SEC "powerhouses" struggle or lose against bad teams. South Carolina, if it's as good as claimed, shouldn't have to defend itself in a weak win over Vanderbilt. LSU shouldn't have had a weak win over Auburn. Alabama shouldn't have lost to Texas A&M. And in fact Alabama would be favored of Texas A&M if they played again tomorrow. And rightfully so. Alabama, if they are as good as claimed, had no business losing. |

And, regarding bowls, I believe that the SEC has a huge advantage in bowl games.
You see it (nearly) every year in the NFL. Offenses come out slow and defenses come out fast. The SEC, being a defense-driven league, gets to take advantage of this every single year in the bowls, because of the absurd layoff between the end of the year and the bowl game. No league in the nation is better equipped to take advantage of this. I think if you threw the Big 12 and SEC together in a super-conference, the week-in week-out play would be remarkably even, because unlike the SEC-Big 12 bowl games, the Offenses would still be in sync. |

People have always gotten it, hell for years people have said this BCS was a joke. And we wanted a playoff system that ended the week before the Superbowl with the championship game on the sat before the pro bowl. problem is right now there's to much money in the BCS and the NCAA doesn't want to give the fans what we want. but it is what it is, hell when the entire restructuring was going on we wanted 4 super conferences of 16 teams blow that shit up but still the NCAA didn't do it.
