Yeah, these days you're much better off ordering from HMV than from Amazon. Unless you have vouchers to spend or something like that of course.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Sadly, A Simple Life 4K is currently out of stock.

I'll wait a few more days, in case more copies pop-up while the sale is running.

But even then I'd save those vouchers/credit/incentives for something instock if you can. I haven't placed a pre-order on Amazon since autumn 2022 when their Prime (and even often non-Prime, as they used to offer this for free on a lot of pre-orders) release day delivery all went to shit.

Catching up with release news so sorry if this has been discussed already - with Enemy Territory coming out as a standalone blu-ray, I wonder if that means any future Enter the Videostore boxsets are kinda canned now? That's still probably my favourite blu-ray boxset, and I would have thought there were plenty of Empire rarities to fill several more releases if they kept the line going.

It could be that they just couldn't clear Enemy Territory for the US, so they decided to release it solo in the UK and are still going to do more Enter the Videostore sets.

I already have Torso, and the F13th Remake.

What are the odds of Barbarella, The Warriors, and Alice, Sweet Alice, getting a UK release in the near future?

thank you
A Simple Plan has an excellent transfer. Good film too. Well worth getting (if it comes back in stock). Nice edition.

Cobra and The Stuff 4K turned up today! These were a regular watch during the summer holidays on VHS back in the day as a kid. Got a week off work so time to revisit simpler times : )

The Stuff looks great in 4K, it's really a shame that they didn't fix the botched framing. At least we have the pre-release cut now and that uses the correct framing. I'd recommend picking up the LE before it's gone.

I tried reaching out to Arrow but it was the usual CS boilerplate nonsense.

Nice. I ordered them both from Rarewaves (along with The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, Poseidon, and Thief).

Wondering if I'll have to wait a few more weeks until these are released.

I know I just come in here suggesting movies that Arrow could put out, but I've got another one haha.

John Frankenheimer's Dead Bang. It was Don Johnson's first action movie and it doesn't even have an English language Blu-ray release.

What is the general opinion on the Street Fighter and Sister Street Fighter trilogies? I have seen the trailers and keep thinking of getting them in the arrow sales but not got round to buy them.

I still need to watch the third Sonny Chiba Street Fighter, but the first two are good! Think I got the trilogy for dirt cheap, too. Definitely worth the dollar.

FWIW, I really enjoyed the Sister Street Fighter set. Don't have the other one.

UK versions are £10 for Sister Street Fighter and £15 for the Street Fighter set.
