Interesting. So looking at potential MGM-owned horror/genre films released on 4K elsewhere, these stand out:

The Incredible Melting Man
The Howling 2
Deranged
The Dark Half
Needful Things
Return of the Living Dead
Child's Play (would they do this separately now?)
Motel Hell
The Burning (is this with MGM here?)
Pumpkinhead (maybe the rights have switched to MGM in the UK, explaining the absence of Second Sight's mooted release?)
Killer Klowns from Outer Space
Robocop 2
Poltergeist 2
Amityville Horror (2006)
Monkey Shines

Just came here to guess Pumpkinhead. The Second Sight BBFC entry never panned out (at least so far), so I feel like it's a possibility.

I believe he said it's something that's never been connected to Arrow before, so I think that rules out many of them.

There’s no mention of MGM nor their logo on Arrow’s release.

Killer Klowns From Outer Space license lapsed and was picked up by Final Cut Entertainment in the UK.

They only did DVD & blu ray releases so I suppose Arrow could still get the 4K rights.

RotLD and Robo 2 appeal from that list.

We know Rollerball is coming, but presumably it won’t be that if the titles are more horror-centric.

Nice to see more Miike on blu ray as part of the Three Extremes set. Hoping we get Gozu one day.

Ah thanks for the heads up on the upgrade. I'll bang Rollerball onto the next ebay to sell batch.

Robocop 2 has also be whispered to be in the works from Arrow.

ITMOM and Three Extremes for me, though I’m gutted we’re not getting the feature length version of Dumplings with it.

FWIW, it was never officially hinted at or teased by Arrow. They simply wished it a 'Happy 50th Anniversary' on their facebook & instagram last month.

& then a bunch of people got upset when a 4K wasn't in their next batch of announcements.

I'd keep hold of your blu for now.

This.

I want to see a Miike set with Ichi 4K, Audition 4K, Visitor Q, Gozu and Imprint for good measure... the actual dream.

Gozu is owned, at least partially if not entirely, by the Yakuza, so that's been the main roadblock to getting it licensed.

I agree, Mouth of Madness is a lovely movie. Stylish meta detective film with the Lovecraftian themes as backdrop, clever direction, really good score, solid performances, had a decent budget, lingers in the mind afterwards, and quite a lot of fun. It's funny that Michael De Luca, the guy who wrote it, is now the CEO of Warner Bros.

Occasional Criterion commentator Adrian Martin did a pretty cool rave review of it back in the 90's, here.

I did see a video with Frank Djeng saying he was working on something for next year that was a bigger get than the John Woo films for difficultly.
Getting Gozu away from the yakuza would definitely count haha

Djeng has nothing to do with Japanese films though, so it isn't that. I assume it is a WB owned Golden Harvest title that has been licensed out to one of their licensing partners (Criterion, Arrow, or, if that rumor is true, Vinegar Syndrome)

Totally see your point about him being more of a Hong Kong cinema expert.

Really don't see the WB Golden Harvest titles being a bigger, more difficult get than the Golden Princess catalogue though.
Since Arrow signed their deal with Warner I'd assumed it's only a matter of time before they get their mits on them.
