I was thinking the same thing this morning. A black man with a white wife is sadly still a big deal to some people in the deep south.

The computers don't "hate" you. It's because FSU's strength of schedule is a joke. Coming into this past weekend here are the top teams SOS. You're 84th in SOS out of 124 teams, by far the easiest SOS of the contenders. Playing Florida will help your SOS, but the SCC title game against a 4-loss team won't.

Oregon - 43/124
Notre Dame - 22/124
Alabama - 9/124
Georgia - 26/124
Florida - 1/124
LSU - 16/124
Kansas St. - 32/124
Florida St. - 84/124

You mean beating UMD 41-17 isn't grounds for getting to a national championship! SHOCKER

Louisville has said they will match any offer and he has everyone coming back next year from a good team this year.

I thought the athletic dept. was in financial trouble. How can they afford the payment to leave? I don't want to see Rutgers in the ACC either.

I doubt it would be 50 upfront, so if their installments to pay that, plus the money they'd gain were significant, I'm worried they would

it's sad that you gotta scrape the bottom of the barrel to get some enjoyment out of a terrible season

seriously though, i was most shocked that Stanford held the Ducks to 14 points i always thought that if Oregon would lose a game, it would be a 45-40 time score, not being held to 14 points. holy $h*t.

i don't even pay attention to standing, but i assume Oregin is still going to the Pac-12 championship game, and when we win, we get to play some terrible Big 10 team in the Rose Bowl? great

I would love to see an argument for Florida in the NC game that doesn't include the words "because they are in the SEC" or something similar.

Oregon deserves it over Florida, and it's not close. You can't even make the "But Oregon didn't play in the PAC-12 title game" argument because Florida won't be either (barring something weird).

How deep are their pockets though? I have a hard time seeing Louisville matching some of the SEC schools with wealth of their boosters and alumni. If Strong has a chance to go to an Auburn or Arkansas, I can't see him staying at Louisville.

Paying their BBall coach $5 million.

We all know how much money Pitino makes (and deserves), but what do they have left for football? It's going to take a lot of money to outbid the SEC.

I think Les Miles gets lucky a lot, but I love what he had to say following the game yesterday evening. I love a coach that isn't afraid to show his emotions.

Well Louisville is a basketball school. I get Pitino making that. Not convinced they'd pay that to Strong. Either way I get the feeling Strong wants to prove himself as an SEC head coach. If he gets a prime opportunity like Arkansas, Auburn or Tennessee I think he'd jump at it even if Louisville matches.

I think the guy is a very mediocre game coach. Thing is he more than makes up for it with his outstanding recruiting.

He's way too much of a gambler. With that defense LSU always has, there is no need to take as many chances as he does.

60 Minutes had a great piece on the big business that is college football. It was centered on Michigan football and coach Brady Hoke. They showed Michigan players being trained by Navy Seals in the offseason. I don't see how these kids have the time to go to classes given football is now a full time job for the players.

Hoke said he typically gets to the office before 6 am and leaves after 10 or 11 pm. Saban was talking about how he didn't even celebrate winning a national championship for a few hours before getting ready for the next season. No wonder big time college coaches burn out faster than they used to.

New BCS Rankings.

1. Notre Dame .9973
2. Alabama .9333
3. Georgia .8763
4. Florida .8434
5. Oregon .8318

Florida St. is ranked #5 and #6 in the human polls but still #10 in the BCS. Seems unlikely they can get into the championship game even if they crush Florida and their ACC title game opponent.
