[CZAR]

Whiteout - I was disappointed with this film! I was really hopin I was gonna like it. It was ok, but nuthin that caught my eye. This is the type of film that goes right down my alley but the story wasnt creative enough for me. Not a bad film but just a decent film. I would rate it 3/5 Got Em!!


Sorority Row - Pretty good remake here. I love me some slasher films! I love Briana Evigan and there were some brutal kills in this one. I was definitely satisfied with this remake and look forward to the sequel down the road. 3.5/5 Got Em!!

Law Abiding Citizen: I'll first say that I did not want to watch this movie. I just had very little interest in the particular film despite the fact that I enjoy the genre. That said, I actually liked most of the film. The film gets into gear right away and does not slow down too much. The script was well written, very good and witty dialogue as well as some monologue. The intentions that the lead character has and his motivation are laid out extremely well and precise. The acting compliments the script as well, not exceeding it or falling behind. I'll say that the suspense was also a very strong point; after a particular scene, I was on edge for the rest of the film, expecting something to happen in every shot.

The film falls short only towards the end in my opinion. It was a very strong movie that sort of ran out of gas and ended somewhat in a weakened state. Overall I give the film 3.5/5. I give the PQ 4/5. I don't care to watch the film again.

Maybe 3.5 was generous. It did have a very strong first half though. I felt like Gerard Butler did a great job of switching gears in acting from the beginning to the jump forward (his accent still slips a bit though). It really did die quite a bit toward the end.

Saw Ghost Rider (Extended Cut) tonight for the first time.


As a serious movie, 2/5. It wasn't as bad as I expected it to be, but wasn't particularly good. The Ghost Rider character (read: Non-Nic Cage version of him) was pretty cool actually.


As a comedy...5/5
There was a bunch of stuff that wasn't meant as humor that was just so bad I had to laugh.

I knew what to expect going in so I wasn't surprised it was so bad, one of the most generic clichéd poorly written films I've seen in a long time, 2 once acting greats just slumming it. I was just curious so I've got no one to blame but myself but absolute bloody rubbish

Sadly I totally agree with you one this one, the one thing I liked though was Carla Gugino, she was almost worth it alone.

A Single Man.

At the theater. I liked it. I didnt know it was about a homosexual man from the description I read, but it made it a better film because of the early 1960s tension. Love is love, and loss is loss. An intimate look at one mans painful struggle. Artistically directed. Some will be touched, some will not.

The grain haters are going to freak out when this comes to Blu-ray. Mosquitos a' blazin'.

No Robert Zemeckis deals with the race issue quite brillliantly? That Black Panthers sequence is cringe worthy in Forest Gump.

How you can criticise Lee's rightfully placed best film and then sing praises of Gump with it's seriously dodgy and naive politics.

If you going to have a go at Lee who is well known for tackling politics honestly, not what you always want to hear maybe but at least there's some reality involved as opposed to these Hollywood fairy tales you seem to hold in such high regard.
