Worried about Sunderland. To start with Seb and Gardner in midfield set off alarm bells for me. Cabral should of started. Hope Di Canio knows what he is doing. The signs are not good.

Well that didn't really live up to it's billing,I'm not a fan of these big games so early on in the season,it definitely takes something away from the occasion.

At least we only have Liverpool next week.

I thought it would be tight too tob but the game in general missed a spark,I could have been in nets tonight,I hoped for a bit more from it but like I said I don't think it helps when such big,important games come in the second week.

Teams are still trying to find their form,new managers,new players,new formations,it all doesn't help,that and the desire to simply not lose the game where in a month to six weeks time everything has settled down and we all know a lot more about our teams.

Roll on Sunday and we'll keep our fingers crossed for a bit more out of the two big games.

Nah in all seriousness,what are your hopes for the season?is there any one particular player you would realistically like to see brought in before the window shuts?

Is finishing ahead of Newcastle classed a good season?

Regarding di canio, I find it is always best to know the facts rather than read gutter press in my opinion.

Finishing above newcastle is only a good season if we finish in top half or win a cup. People outside of the northeast have no idea how big a club Sunderland are. We are still in the top 12 most successful clubs in UK despite a complete lack of success in last few decades. Fantastic support home and away. Loyal fans no matter what. Plus, we once got 30,000 crowd for 3rd division game. (One and only time in the lower divisions)

Yeah I agree with the DiCanio thing,I was just having a laugh.

I also realise Sunderland are a big club,there are quite a few in England that would fall into the category that are not even in the P.L.
Leeds and Wolves are two that spring to mind.

I find Holloway easier to listen to than my Mrs...
