I don't know if they will do so for everyone, or just people who explain they would like the bonus disc, but for $12 less, they can do without, but the person would be very mad to be quoted this price and then find out it was wrong and be stuck without the bonus disc, because they didn't pre-order from the official site. They didn't know if adding "bonus disc" on their page was a misprint. I strongly suspect it is. But, anyway, if you contact CS they'll add a note and IF the price goes up, they'll give you a gift card to use on a future purchase.

But I'm STILL wondering if I should order directly from CLM and get that bonus disc? I worry about small companies and their shipping. Have had very bad experience in the past with things arriving super late and in intolerably bad condition. That said, if these are the same people who did the CSM book, I ordered from them and it arrived mint. So there's that.

I'm nervous, either way. Like a camp counselor at Crystal Lake.

EDIT: Does anyone know if these are all brand new interviews or if these interviews were the ones given to make the book of the same title?

I don't know how many people who are on the fence about the bonus disc, but I'm sure most of those extended interviews will probably pop up on youtube in the not too distant future. Not to mention, with how long the documentary already is, I'm gonna guess most of that bonus disc is stuff that either wasn't too exciting or simply similar info that was probably, sort of, included in other segments and interviews.

CAV Distibution handles the shipping for these. They also typically handle Synapse titles, which arrive insanely fast and well packed, since everything arrives in perfect condition.

Arrival time is usually 2-3 days, as stated previously. I'm betting they ship on monday/tuesday of release week.

These are all newly shot interviews(the facebook page has pics). Not older interviews.

The NSA bonus had a bunch of stuff not covered in it, plus extensions of what was in the doc. I suspect this will be the same.

For the people on the fence about ordering from the CLM website:

If you do, these guys get a lot more money than they would compared to you ordering from anywhere else(not just because of a small pricing difference), because Amazon etc gets a big chunk of the price. You can tell this isn't your run-of-the-mill fan documentary, lots of blood, sweat, tears and money were put into this(realistically, you could probably buy a decent house for what was spent), so support these guys and buy direct.

That's why I pre-ordered direct. Well, that and the bonus disc. I'd like to see these guys get rewarded for all their hard work.

I preordered this from Dark Delicacies but don't remember if they charged me right away. I hope when they start shipping I have enough money in my account . This is why I don't mind being charged right away.

It's four hours of additional content. I highly doubt you'll see even 10% of it on YouTube, if you see any of it.

One of their interviews came too late to be included in the doc but will be on the bonus disc.... now if I could just remember who it was, lol.

Thanks for that. I feel a bit reassured that I ordered direct.

Not to mention the fact that some of the best content on Never Sleep Again was in the "bonus" material.

Basically, it's all stuff that didn't fit into the main narrative of the documentary, but nonetheless provided some really excellent material I wouldn't have wanted to miss.

I'm amazed people are quibbling over a few bucks back and forth over this release. If you are interested enough to watch it in the first place, you are gonna want the bonus disc. The only way I'd feel ripped off is if I didn't spend the extra $5-10 to get the bonus disc, because that's a heck of a lot of content. When we hear "bonus" we tend to think of pithy featurettes and EPK crap that we are accustomed to, but that's certainly not what this is.

I do understand why they did it, though - they make a lot more money selling direct and these guys deserve it - they are doing for these now classic horror films what no studio would ever begin to dream of doing. These releases aren't a bunch of cobbled together old garbage like we usually get on Blu-ray for "extras", even with huge releases. These are true, original documentaries with a great combination of critical eye and love and appreciation.

Like 99% should be NEW interviews. I have heard that they may have used past interviews from Betsy and Adrienne, cause they have been the ones to always do them first in the past. Adrienne told me herself that she was being passed on cause they said they'd just use past stuff....but...they did interview Kim Beck and Dana Kimmell later that very night, so maybe King got added then too???

This will be the first time that Jennifer Cooke has even spoken about her film I believe.

They will probably charge your account this week sometime.

I had my debit card info stolen right after I made the order, so my order at DD is under my old card number. I am suppose to end them the new info, but seeing at how the autographs are going to probably be far less than what they originally promised, I might just order from the CLM directly now. Taking the weekend to think about it.

My Crystal Lake Memories book fell apart on the first day I started reading it - the binding split and pages were falling out, and I was treating it very, very carefully. I contacted Amazon but since 30 days had passed since the book was purchased (it was bought for me for my birthday by my girlfriend through Amazon), Amazon didn't allow a replacement, even after I emailed them. I then contacted the publisher of the book, and they also would not help - they told me to contact Amazon. This was 2 years ago. I recently contacted the publisher again, because I"m still mad over it sitting on my shelf, with pages literally falling out, and again, they would not help me out.

Several of the "making of" pieces from the individual DVDs of the Friday films are on youtube in their entirety.

Does anyone know if they interviewed Kevin Bacon or Crispin Glover?

And your point is?
Had someone inspected the item upon arrival and noticed it was damaged, it could have been, easily, returned to Amazon...no questions asked.

I think his point was that the book had poor binding and even if he had opened it at the time he bought it, it shouldn't fall apart like that.

I have bought books with poor binding that practically fall apart in your hands... that's why I always check at first... but if you're careful, you might not see the binding flaws until months later when it is too late to return.

Properly stored books should not fall apart by the mere act of carefully reading them.

And more or less placing the blame on Amazon for not taking back an item after the 30 day grace period. A shame, of course, but not Amazon's fault.
We all receive stinkers in the mail. It's bound to happen. That's why most retailers of note will have a return policy.

At this point I'd keep the order even if you don't want it - resale value is going to be quite good, I believe.
