Nice week for iTunes. The Duff is a little unexpected. Didn't seem like that big a movie to get iTunes, but im glad it did. I might have to pick that up now.

yeah i just looked at a physical slip and it says FOX
on vudu when you redeem a relativity movie in the URL bar it says Sony for the studio, so vudu has it wrong.

What you see in the URL bar is the API. Not the studio.

I could be wrong but seems to me the way Lionsgate releases go is if the pack includes a DVD you get both Itunes and UV codes, and if it is Blu only, then it comes only with a UV option. So The Duff having a DVD included in its release seems to fit.

Oh yeah, didn't even notice that. That seems true since July 2013. But still they only seem to do include DVD with their bigger movies. To me this make UV look even more like a cost cutting tool for studios.

So, will that unfortunately mean no iTunes for Ex Machina???

Very likely. It also is a joint release between Lionsgate and A24 (the theatrical distributor) and AFAIK, no A24 release has included ITunes.

It will also be interesting to see how Insurgent is handled since the 3D includes a DVD and the 2D doesn't. I could see both releases including ITunes, neither including it, or making ITunes exclusive to the 3D edition.

I think Insurgent is likely to have iTunes on both as it's a Summit Entertainment title (and they all seem to have iTunes).

What's up with Band of Brothers? I've seen people selling (or at least asking for someone to sell them) a UV copy...

Is there such a code? Does that mean there's a standard HBO UV/iTunes/Google combo that's originating from?

A lot of time people will just assume certain releases have codes. That release did not appear to come with one.

Thanks! I bought BoB a few years ago and it didn't have a code. But I know HBO has re-released SOME titles with codes, when they were not originally released that way. Just wanted to make sure I didn't miss something!

A few People have actually been selling Band of Brothers codes, not just asking for them. Someone posted that there will be a new release version of BoB coming soon, maybe they said on June 30 that will have a digital HD code. I can't find that post right now. BoB and a few other HBO series.
