Well, it's not "fantastic" looking IMO, but by comparison I do like it a lot better than the standard silver packaging with the oval (and I have no interest in the digibook), so I'll take it!
Also, unless they've changed this, in my past experience with Best Buy, they will also periodically check for the funds again and redo the hold if you are preordering something a good amount of time before it comes out. It's not a big deal if you don't run up your credit card close to the limit, or if you are using a debit card and have plenty of money in your account. But for those for whom it would be an issue, that should be kept in mind. |

I doubt there will be a NA steelbook. I do think it's likely that Walmart could have another gift set, either with a bonus DVD of a short or other promotional content (the last two Diamond Edition releases had this), or a physical item (such as a Disney Infinity figure, plush toy, etc.). |

That doesn't really bother me, personally. Many of the earlier Disney Blu-Ray releases don't have vertical titles either. And frankly I've never cared for the look of the vertical titling for those movies that have it. Anything that deviates from that is fine with me.
Besides, my personal "OCD" is more with the spines lining up and having something of a consistent look. The front covers can deviate and it doesn't bother me much. Most of the time I'm not going to be looking at all of my Disney covers simultaneously anyway. They'll just be sitting on the shelf. |

The spine was always going to be fine since they've likely got a gold standard for all releases from 2010 onward. They should've used the LaserDisc artwork that is frequently posted here; that would've been perfect. But bring on the bonus. |

As much as I hate the oval cover
The BB exclusive is WAAAAAAY to simple. It might have been better if they made the Genie bigger or maybe put in more characters so that it would fill up the cover. It looks like the cover of a picture book! XP I'll pass, maybe next years will be better, if there is one next year. I'm sticking with the regular one |

I love lenticular slips, but I have the same problem with Aladdin as I had with Big Hero 6 (and Cinderella) -- it leaves far too much space above the lenticular card that's just wasted. I prefer when it takes up the entire front.
