Whether if the standard blu-rays are remastered or not, people are going to buy and watch for the 4K UHD discs primarily anyway. The majority already have the standard blu-rays because, those have been released on Blu-ray for years.

Not everyone can afford the upgrade at this time. Want to see if this will tide me over until I do. We got the old disc on Superman: The Movie but were told that this should included the new transfers on Blu-ray. I’d rather be disappointed now than later if that isn’t true.

I got these in today also and checked out the original BATMAN. I can confirm the Blu-Ray IS absolutely remastered, has a new menu, 7.1 Atmos audio and an AVC encode. Certainly looks like the same color timing as the 4K UHD to me after I watched several minutes of it beforehand.

Both the 4K and BD have the older 5.1 Dolby Digital soundtrack on there as well.

From what I'm told they all feature the new Dolby Atmos mixes, so the original wouldn't be an option, but I didn't get a chance to watch them yet. I will get to at least the first two tomorrow and confirm.

There's already been confirmation on the 5.1 mix on the 4k disc and is an option.

There is a 5.1 lossy mix, we don't know what that disc is yet tho.

I do when I see shots and confirm its the "original" 5.1 before I buy and rip the JP Laserdisc stereo mix.
