The insert that comes with this numbers the episodes consecutively across the series as a whole. When cataloging the release in DVD Profiler I assumed the same episode numbering would be used with the Blu-ray menus, so that's what I went with. Only makes sense, right. Well come to find out it doesn't. The episodes on each disc are numbered 1-17 with Disc 10 being numbered 1-13. That being said, I went back just now and updated all my profiles for this. URL's provided below to my parent profiles for the release in the event anyone finds them useful. Within the "Overview" of each profile I've included an "Episode List" and "Episode Guide". The numbering is per season followed in parenthesis by the numbering used by the Blu-ray menus. (The images below show what the release looks like for me in My Movies for Windows Media Center.)

Quality control on WB-owned cartoon collections has taken a nosedive since Earl Kress died in 2011. He was the brilliant mind behind all of the H-B DVD sets, and was also the one checking the other sets. I got the Flintstones BD when it was around $50 last week and am dreading looking at it.

(I should hasten to note that the copy I received last week had the corrected ""Big Bank Robbery". So now it's just a complete recall of Discs 7, 8, and 9 needed...) |

In that case, I’m glad they didn’t. They stuffed up the discs, they can fix the discs. I shouldn’t have to put up with settling for digital files because their staff are incompetent and/or non-existent.

Disc 2 was the worst with the little zooms in episodes. I haven't seen any on Disc 3, which has its own issues. Besides the mentioned episode with the wider frame (changing throughout the show), some episodes have REALLY low music and sound effects. The clarity and colors are beautiful...and then, someone destroyed that work with inept, sloppy "work." What a disaster!

Still on 3. It is hard to have the desire to watch these now. So, I watch one or two a day.

Received My replacement copy today, from California to the West Coast of British Columbia, Canada. DHL shipping, no pre warning of Shipping , DHL Driver, and received in Bubble Mailer.
Happy to receive, and so much better with appropriate sound! But again warning that existing Sets may still have affected Disc, I received a New Set off eBay on Jan.25 that had faulty Disc. |
