Don't normally comment on TV shows like this on here, but out of the few property programmes I watch Escape to the Country is my favourite. A couple of observations:

- when the presenter meets up with the (usually) two people looking for a new property ahead of the viewing of Property No.1, it always seems to be in some random field

- you can tell when they aren't going to put an offer in on any of the properties (including the mystery property at the end of the viewings), which leads to the false hope of an update before the end credits start.

New editions of the show air on BBC One usually on Monday and Tuesday afternoons.

I've been watching quite a lot of daytime TV shows lately, including the one you mention. I'm always amused when they're not really interested in any of the properties they're shown and end up looking for other houses themselves once filming stops. I always wonder why they just don't do that in the first place, but of course, the BBC wouldn't have a show.

After a few weeks of hour-long editions of Escape to the Country being shown on BBC One Monday to Friday afternoons, I noticed last night that next Monday afternoon (18th August) they're going back to the 45 minute versions. Thought it might be the start of a new series based on the episode number and the number of editions in the series. Having looked through the new issue of the TV listings magazine I get, it's confirmed what I thought it was, the start of a new series. Premiering at 3 pm - 3.45 pm. Just the one new edition on next week.
