Planning to pick up a chunk of these, want to see the impressions on Super Mario Bros and if anyone has to pay tariffs first. My grail right now would be Godzilla x Kong : New Empire since I own all the other monsterverse movies in 3D. I saw no Warner yet though :/

True. I have contacted Darthlaser a few months ago and never got feedback or any statement in this regard.

I'm sure it has something to do with the fact that the blu-ray market is pretty much dead here. I don't think Super Mario even got a dvd release in Portugal.
The hassle of getting the rights to have portuguese as a subtitle option for the 3 of us is probably not worth it. Don't know how things are over in Brasil, but can't expect them to be much better.

A lot of North American releases have been made to include South America also and include Portuguese. I’ve learned a bit of the language from them.

The case here tho is if they include Portuguese subs or even audio it will be the one from Portugal for obvious reasons. it still has some differences from the Brazilian PT which could be annoying for some.

Most likely but not necessarily as some movies released in Germany were released with Brazilian dub/subtitles instead of European Portuguese. And as things have been going it's better with Brazilian dubbing and subtitles than none. Most recent movies in 3D I've been buying with dubbing or subtitles were with Brazilian ones. Of my collection Shrek 4 movie collection, Cars 3, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Thor, Captain America The First Avenger, Thor Ragnarok, Black Panther, Infinity War, Astérix The Mansion of the Gods, Top Gun, 2016 Ghostbusters, Ice Age 3, Lego Movie 2, Kung Fu Panda 2 and now Moana (still didn't ship) all have Brazilian subtitles and dubbing because there is no European Portuguese alternative.

How would you rate the 3D? When I watched the movie with my daughter I could only imagine how amazing some of the scenes would work in 3D. I hope they live up to my expectations. I'm looking at Big Hero 6 type of 3D engagement.

Now I just watched the new 3D Blu-Ray and am more than satisfied.
The people at Illumination Studios have not forgotten how to do great 3D effects and have pushed the movie literally into another dimension. More details here.
Many thanks to Turbine Medien for preserving this 3D jewel for home cinema.

My understanding is the de minimis provision suspension has been delayed for every country but China. So, you should be okay.

I've seen Godzilla x Kong at the Movies in 3D and now i refuse to watch it again until we get confirmation that they either can or 100% can't get it. I had it at home in 4K but decided against watching it in the end and I am fine waiting. I found the movie much more enjoyable because of the 3D.
There are some scenes in the movie that really benefit from the 3D format.
Also missed Meg 2 in 3D, and would love to see that as well.
But if i could only get 2 at all, it would be Godzilla x Kong and The Wild Robot.

Thumbs up turbine great 3D!!

Friend, I would like to have a lot more 3D movies because they've been great, and we'll get more physical 3D movies or digital 3D movies, but some have been. is cool great

And we want them to continue selling 3D movies and never run out of them, but you did well, but I don't know where they found the physical 3D Blu-ray format. Thank you, and please continue selling 3D Blu-ray collector's editions. Thank you.

The new interview with Turbine Media is online.

EDIT: They weren't specific, but the next three will be 2 movies that are Part 4 in their movie series, as well as one part 9.

My guess would be Kung Fu Panda 4, Despicable Me 4, and Transformers One, which i think should be the ninth installment of the Transformers Series, and would also fit the style of 3 animated movies.

Edit 2: Sadly, Transformers One seems to be part 8, which means i am lost for the last movie.

Regardless, All 3 will be a buy for me if they come out like that.

If I’m understanding the video correctly, the next batch of Turbine 3D discs will include two “Part 4” titles and one “Part 9” title. So likely Despicable Me 4 and Kung Fu Panda 4. Not sure about the “Part 9” one. Maybe Fast & Furious 9?

Good thing you edited because there’s only 7 Transformers movies + 1 animated = 8.

My money is on Fast and Furious 9 on 3D Blu-ray.

According to the hint from Turbine, I would also think that "Despicable Me 4" and "Kung Fu Panda 4" are very likely to be in the next batch of 3D-Blu-Rays. For the ninth installement of a movie series that has a 3D version I also can't remember any other than FF9.

One more point of the interview with Christian to highlight is IMO that seemingly more film companies are becoming aware of Turbine and their success with 3D-Blu-Rays. So hopefully more contracts for 3D licenses will become possible with other studios in the future. Sony, Disney, Warner, ...
