Did it happen to show up in your Gold Box?

Add me to the list of buying all Criterion releases. I never got into the Criterion collection when they were out on DVD so now is my chance to own them all on a superior format.

Just preordered Repulsion for $24.49 from Amazon.

I am really not liking this Benjamin Button case.... and the insert is curved on the edges, so putting it in one of those clear cases would make it look all weird.

Not sure if this has already been posted yet but Amazon is offering a chance to vote for the next film to get a Blu release.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/ref=amb_link_84234391_2?ie=UTF8&docId=1000368291&t ag=bluraynews-20

Hope the link works.

I am with you the height is way off too. I know they probably had their hands tied with Paramount over issues with the case and they probably had to bend for Paramount for the release since it is very high profile.

Just wish the case worked better. or was more uniform in some way. Now we have three different style Criterion BD cases.

I agree with the whole Ben Button case issue. Is anybody else's slip cover cracking on the edges? When I went to BB all of the copies they had in stock were like that.

My lady friend and I just got done watching "Curious Case of Benjamin Button " and really liked it. We were wondering what other Movies were out from the Criterion Collection, Ive been reading a lot on this Thread and have been watching Trailers on the Criterion web site.. We both want to order most of the movies.
Question is.. How many are out on blu at the moment? We Counted 11 (Including Ben)

Thank you in advance.

IMO the best ones are Bottle Rocket, The Third Man, The 400 Blows and The Last Emperor. But my fav would have to be Bottle Rocket other than Banjamin Button of course.

The truth is, however, that not everyone even wants to own all of the Criterion titles which makes perfectly good sense. I, on the other hand, was never fortunate enough to catch-up with the DVD releases, so I feel like this is my opportunity to keep up before I get behind. So far, so good. Some I've seen, and some are bought sight-unseen, but that's how I'm choosing to play it this time.

All Criterion fans should be celebrated, though.

I am in the exact same boat. That's why I own all the currently available releases, and have all the announced ones pre-ordered.

And it's really, really, really addicting. So much so that I've even gone back and found some OOP Criterion DVDs for pretty cheap. I got Silence of the Lambs, RoboCop and Time Bandits for about $40 from different vendors on Amazon. All brand new, factory sealed.

I also ordered The Samurai Trilogy and the Great Adaptations boxset from DVD Pacific during their sale a few weeks ago.

Now I'm just hoping Criterion doesn't go and announce any of those DVDs I just bought on Blu-ray...

You should be safe with Silence of the Lambs and Robocop, those have been out of print for ages! (though never too hard to find at a decent price).
Pretty sure Time Bandits is still in print (I didn't check), if you got all 3 films for a total of $40, that's just amazing!
You're right about it be addictive, i was hoping to get ben buttons in this week, i need my fix man..
