Apparently this article in The Scum is spot on about what happened behind the scenes. As mentioned, it's not just about giving someone time which is what most of the pundits are blathering on about, it's about them clashing with the entire culture of a club and de Boer's style simply wasn't the right fit. I can't blame him for being a tosser, this is squarely on Parish and the board for seemingly getting tired with the process of getting a new manager over the summer and opting for this dilbert just because he had a fancy CV.

If anyone is remotely interested, we lost to Notts Forest 0-1 last night. Our old Player Daryl Murphy scoring (of course) late in the game. The fact we played quite well and dominated is even more frustrating. If you don't have a striker, no amount of creative players are going to make a difference. So, what do the guys in charge do? Sign a bunch of midfielders who struggle to get 5 goals a season! **** off MR Short please! Just stop killing our once proud club. Embarrassing 26,000 fans last night. 18,000 lost fans and empty seats scattered throughout the stadium.

Just to top the night off, a guy collapses with a heart attack outside the stadium. He was with his son and daughter I think. Made the football match seem meaningless. Hope he is ok but it didn't look good.

Sorry to hear about that man after the game hope he is ok, but Murphy is a good striker and he do alright at Forest and i would like to see him play more often for Ireland.

Murphy is a good championship player, he is a plank in the premier league Tob. He was with us a few years and he was bloody awful.

Sorry GVortex and Ocean.

Edit: Bad result Geoff, but Palace deserved something.

As for us, this is the worst time in our history. In my lifetime, I have never known fans to lose their spirit or abandon the club in such huge droves. Unheard of and I don't know where we go from here. Ugly scenes yersterday with fans snapping and I fear it could get worse. Then, Grayson's press conference basically turned fans against him when he stated, 'we don't need another striker' Ok, simple Simon, ok!
It was kind of true what the one pundit said last Saturday night on Match of the Day (Shearer on...YET AGAIN ), that we were out-Albioned. That wasn't our normal selves against Brighton & Hove Albion. And with West Ham finally winning a game this season, they're going to be confident going into this Saturday afternoon's game against us. It's a cliche, but it's going to take a bit of time for the new signings to gel with the existing players in the West Brom team.

I hear he has been put into a induced coma. There have been conflicting reports about what happened. It did look like a heart attack but some reports are saying he fell and hit his head. Either way, I hope in the coming days, it's good news Ocean.

My excuse used to be page 3 but it's a jug free zone these days. Having said that, if I wanted to stare at tits I would go to St James Park!

Europa League:

Everton 3-0 down to Atalanta (after 74 mins), Arsenal's game with Cologne at The Emirates delayed by an hour (!) due to German fans being annoying.

Let's hope there's no trouble.

First of all, my thoughts and prayers are with the man who collapsed outside the stadium of a heart attack after Tuesday night's game, and also for his family, especially so his children. Words can't describe how terrible it must have been for them to witness something like that.

Secondly, being a Nottingham Forest fan, I am indeed more than remotely interested Seems to me that on current form, your boys could do with someone like DM back in your side 4 goals in seven is a decent start for him, but obviously, goals aside, he offers so much more to his game. A lot of fellow Forest fans were having a right go when we signed him, but I knew it was a great bit of business by Mark Warburton. Aside from Barry McKay (ex Rangers), for me, Murphy has been the best signing so far this season. Anyway, back to Tuesday night's game. I'll be honest, Sunderland were more than unlucky the other night. They dominated for large parts of the game. But, for me, it was so very satisfying to actually be able to keep a clean sheet for once! And away from home! To say that's been a rarity of late would be an understatement.

I know things are more than a bit of a mess both on and off the field for yours boys at the moment, but I'm sure all will come good in time.

Through thick and thin, good and bad...always keep the faith!

Because I saw the link on a Palace forum, I read it and thought it worth posting here. It's not rocket science. There was a good one on the Grauniad website too, I can post that in the interests of balance if you'd like?

Ahh, a fellow championship man! It's been lonely Wes, where have you been?

Yeah, I was gutted with the result. The lack of strikers is killing us already. Vaughn is simply not good enough for the championship. So, despite having Williams, Mcgeady, MCmanaman etc., we have no one to put the ball away. To go from Defoe to this is soul destroying.

Finally, like you say, hopefully that guy pulls through. Will let you all know. I know Ocean was asking also.

Yup, I think it's time to worry. We have looked dreadful and completely out of sync on offense these past three games. Koeman needs to make some major adjustments because after spending all that cheddar this off-season, these results won't do. Then again, I was semi-expecting such struggles when we didn't replace Lukaku with a legitimate scorer. Rooney notwithstanding.

Good old Palace. As with Fat Sam you don't get a new manager bounce with this lot, they're just too shit. Like Sunderland we've kept on bringing in fire fighters to keep us up but their luck ran out and ours has too. If I was Parish I'd already be preparing for relegation.
