I think the two I watched first and latched onto might have given me the wrong impression of his style. I think if I were to rewatch MaMM or BB I would likely enjoy them a lot more than I did the first time.

3 Women and Nashville are musts. You should also see The Player and Short Cuts.

I'll get around to seeing those movies one of these days. Robert Altman's work has eluded me so far (except for Popeye).

Owl, I have a feeling you will like The long Goodbye the most. In fact, I would be shocked if it does not make make your Top 20 of the 70's list.

Any release would be welcome. And really, there are a lot of films in Hulu's Criterion section that need dvd or blu-ray releases. Looks like it might just be worth the $7.99 a month. Anyone here subscribe??

I know that you're just pulling a hypothetical title out of thin air, but, my God, that sounds like it would be a seriously awesome movie.

I have seen The Player and have Nashville and Popeye in my unwatched collection. I think Nashville is kind of daunting due to the length and how I feel like I need to watch it where I'm in the mood and can give it my full attention. I'd love to see 3 Women but after the ones I wasn't thrilled with I'm hesitant to drop $20+ on it sight unseen. I will definitely see it eventually. I think that, California Split and Images are likely to be my favorites of his that I haven't seen from what I can tell.

If you haven't seen Godzilla vs The Smog Monster it is everything you could ask for in a seriously awesome movie, especially in the AIP dub. But then I also love Godzilla's Revenge.

I've seen both, although it's been a couple of decades.

In my opinion, there is the 1954 original Japanese version of Godzilla, and then there's everything else. The sequels are all fun in their unique little ways, though. I was always partial to Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster (1964).

Hopefully this thread leads to a Blu-ray release of the AIP dub of Godzilla vs The Smog Monster. I'm happy I was able to find it on laserdisc but would prefer to get my Save The Earth on in OAR/1080p

Same boat... Just so many movies, so little money. Plus I always think I have it, so I never buy. Lol old age setting in.
