I think this is the first BF where I've seen prices go up on all the things I was price watching.

This seems alright, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter 8 films w/ Fantastic Beasts for 59.99

https://www.amazon.ca/Wizarding-9-Film-Collection-Blu-ray-Bilingual/dp/B075VXSD86/ref=sr_1_1?s=dvd&ie=UTF8&qid=1511525425&sr=1-1

Edit: Costco members interested in the HP series should consider the 16 disc set for 69.99. Thats the one I own, and it's fantastic.

That's a very nice price, but I believe it's all movie only discs, 9 discs total. Costco has the HP 16 disc blu ray set for I think $69.99? Couldn't find a listing for it on here, might be a Costco exclusive. And FB I think is around $10 on its own. Just FYI.

I'm pretty sure that after BvS and Wonder Woman went down in price they stopped advertising the movie cash promotion, which means you won't get it.

The promotion still shows up on the item page. I’ve screenshotted it so if it doesn’t turn up, I have proof that I’m entitled to it.

Going through my huge Wishlist and I can safely say that prices haven't really changed for Black Friday. Pretty lame.

12.99 for the 4k for ET on Amazon.com,

28.96 still on amazon.ca

we got I would guess 1/10 the title selection and the prices, even after exchange etc were roughly double for pretty much all titles if not more.

100% wallet safe as I mentioned in another thread.

Ya I cancelled my Prime membership. What a slap in the face.

Best deals were Wonder Woman for 19.99, The mummy for 14.99 and War/Planet of the Apes for 19.99 in terms of 4k.

Regular blu rays faired better, I guess they figure 4k isnt a huge thing up here :\

I didnt buy 1 movie this year, first time for everything I guess.

Randomly out of nowhere Purolator picked up the package this morning just as I was going to contact support again today. Clearly the robots realized I was on to them. Expected delivery of next Wednesday for something ordered last Friday making it two days short of two weeks for delivery when it arrives (If the estimate is met)...... with Prime shipping I can get stuff from overseas faster than that. Do Amazon.ca give Prime extensions for late packages or is that just an Amazon.com thing?

Does anyone know if, when the item has arrived at the 'Destination Facility' but is not out for delivery, you can go pick it up from them? Or do you have to wait for a delivery attempt?

You have to wait for a delivery attempt.

No subverting the glorious postal services of Canada.

Is there any point ordering La La Land 4K from Amazon because they have it as releasing in 2020?

Amazon updated the order that finally got picked up by Purolator to this.

Quote:
Delayed due to weather

Unfortunately your shipment was delayed due to weather. We're working to deliver it as soon as possible.
Apparently a leaf must have blown across the path of one of the robots or something because Brampton has been in plus temperatures, low winds, no snow and one day with sprinkles. What exactly are they expecting me to believe delayed Purolator from picking it up for a week? I would be more inclined to believe my Skynet joke than their weather claim

Maybe try Wal-Mart, I found it there and they had like 10 copies.

Ok.. I need to get something off my chest.

F** whatever bot is updating the blu-ray.com Amz.ca "Best Bluray Deals" part of this site, which keeps including full price Criterion titles in with actual deals. I wish I could just filter that nonsense out (why isn't that an option?). We don't get catalogue-release deals in Canada, I get that, stop rubbing it in!

I'm going to go to Wal-Mart tonight. Hoping it is not picked over by then. They seem to be the only place having somewhat decent deals. Would have been nice to use my Amazon GCs though.

Amazon got all my Black Friday bluray money today. Got Wonder Woman 3D, Kong Skull Island 3D, Split and Inferno/Da Vinci Code/Angels and Demons. Just easier to do it online than trying to find copies in store.

Also got an Instant Pot for my wife which seems to be the hot item. On sale everywhere but good luck finding one in a store.

The only thing I saw on Am.ca yesterday that seemed like a good, unique deal was the complete Black Adder on dvd for $25.99. I passed & it's back over $50 today.
I got some better deals in the last couple months on things I've wanted watching the deals pages here. The one item I am happiest about is the remastered blu-ray set of the complete Dick Van Dyke Show for $100CAN ( including shipping) off of the US Amazon. I haven't seen it cheaper since, not even yesterday, and it looks amazing as the series was actually filmed. Too bad all the great shows from the 70's were all recorded on video tape & are impossible to remaster as finely as this.

That Black Adder set was only $14.99 at Best Buy a couple of weeks ago even!

And better yet was part of a 2 for $20. I got Black Adder and Fawlty Towers for $20 + tax.
