Custom Cover Art Thread

Alrighty. Here is the final design. The cover for Disc 2 will reflect this but the color scheme will be different.

I've been revisiting my 007 covers to do some extra refining:

Dr. No:
Loaded a higher resolution poster that retains the texture of the actual poster (the older one it appears had been artificially blurred in an attempt to erase the texture.
Added an era-specific UA logo
Justified the synoposis
Changed background to pure white on cover
Corrected spine:

Added an era-specific UA logo
Justified the synoposis

Added era-specific UA logo
Corrected spine
Changed background to pure white on cover
Removed some artifacts on cover

Eliminated some artifacts on cover

Also did some tinkering with Battle of Britain:
Eliminated some artifacts
Redid cast list on cover
Corrected Universal Acc error in credits

How much were they going to charge you before you were able to get it for free?

I don't have a Fedex Kinko's nearby so I was thinking about going to OD and seeing how well they turned out there.

$0.63 with tax. Keep in mind that the printing last Friday of Button came out perfectly.

I added the era-specific TransAmerica UA logo to the back of "For Your Eyes Only". That TransAmerica UA logo always meant that I was about to watch a James Bond movie so it has strong nostalgic value.
I also corrected the spine, justified the synoposis, changed the background of the cover to pure white:

I was wondering if anyone else has this problem. While trying to register at their forum it keeps giving me the error "The answer given for the random question was incorrect." However, I have entered the answer exactly as it says 'Cdcovers.cc for ever' I is completely baffling me on how to get registered over there. Tried it using Firefox 8.0.1 and Google Chrome 15.0. Any help or confirmation that it is happening to others would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all,

I've recently commissioned Nissen to do me a few custom Blu covers. I couldn't be happier with the results and i asked him permission to share the results (for viewing only). I'm very grateful to him for being patient and loyal. i intend to keep him very busy over the coming months.

I only discovered the "cult" of custom covers this year and for a perfectionist like me, it's a godsend.


The Fly and The Elephant Man are complete customs.
Gremlins, Shawshank and American Werewolf are new front covers with tweaks for the spines and reverse cover.

They're the best I've seen. I imagine the Bond Blu-rays will get a full uninterrupted release next year to coincide with Skyfall. If the covers are still awful then I'll be using yours.
