I think this is may be it. This site's review makes mention of Blood on the Stone as being an extra.

I worked for the Diamond Trading Company (De Beers' London based, rough diamond nerve center) for 12 years between 87 and 99. Sierra Leone wasn't something they had their fingers in openly, but the business from Zaire, Angola and the Congo was dubious in the extreme.

Last Friday night was the premier on TMNHD of Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds. I had it on DVR since I could not watch it then.

The previews look sort of okay but knowing Tarantino I sort of knew what to expect. I turn out to be right. Lot's of swearing, long scene with dialogue that try to make it look like it's a profound movie when it's not lot's of smoking and drinking over more talking scenes to make you belive it's a very intellectual movie and of course Quentin's ultimate true genius, lot's of violence

Like most of his movies (maybe with the exception of Pulp Fiction for which I never, never understood why people like it) I enjoyed it. It was a good fun 2 hours to watch. I would not call it the best movie of 2009 and IMO if it had been a regular 5 movie year at the Oscars I am not so sure it would have been nominated. Plus in typical Quentin Tarantino fashion, while I did not hate this movie, like all his other movies I have no wish to see it again. He's the type of director that make me go "been there, done that, thank you, goodbye".

Machete - 3/5

It definitely had some awesome moments and some hot ladies in it, but overall it was just ok. I was hoping for something like Planet Terror, but it wasn't nearly as over the top awesome as that was. I'll definitely rent this when it comes out on blu

Zodiac

i've reviewed the film before, so i'll keep it short
a great, great film. i believe it's my second favorite Fincher film (behind Fight Club of course )

a lot of details, a lot of characters, great performances, some truly unnerving scenes, and a very thorough story that i always enjoy reading / learning about.

i also finished up the special features, and man, what a collection they have here! tons of information: detailed reports with the actual officers on the scene of the crimes, crime scene photos, details about how the film was created, written and started up, two commentaries... it's features like this that really make you feel good about a $30 purchase (although the movie for me was more than enough for the price).

AQ - great, a really subtle, yet haunting score
PQ - love it. sharp, clean, crisp and even with the amount of CGI and blue screen (which i didn't even know there was! ) it all looks completely real.

one of the best complete packages around

5/5

Machete 3.5/5

Fun action movie. Lindsay Lohan gave a pretty good performance imo. That was a pleasant surprise. I loved her character and she was pretty hot, too I hope the DC is even better and we get to see more of her, Don Johnson and Michelle Rodriguez. Best part:
[Show spoiler]Seagal kills himself hahahahahahahahahahaha

Remember Me 4-5/5

Extremely well done movie. Very sensitive and sad. Great performances from all the actors, especially from Robert Pattinson. The score fit perfectly and the ending was quite a shock. Loved it from beginning to end. A really great movie. My first impression says I have to rate it 5/5, but I guess I'll have to watch it again, just to make sure if it's really a 5/5 movie for me. So for now it's 4-5/5

Black Orpheus - Criterion (1959) Blu-ray

Just a few years before I went to Vietnam, my home was filled with the sounds of Bossa Nova, the Samba and other sounds from Brazil; mainly Antonio Carlos Jobim and Sérgio Mendes, my parents favorite artists from Brazil (in fact, I still have all of those original 33 1/3 records). So it was thrilling to watch and especially listen to this film for the first time on Blu-ray. I had only seen it once previously on TCM-HD and after watching it on that channel, I just had to own it on BD. The Criterion transfer of this 1.33:1 aspect ratio film is flawless and the viewer has the choice of listening to the uncompressed mono soundtrack in the original Portuguese language with English subtitles or an English dub. Personally, I prefer the Portuguese language version. The PQ is excellent with the vibrant colors giving one a nice look at 1959 Rio de Janeiro. As a side-note, in President Barack Obama's bestselling memoir "Dreams from My Father," he notes that it was his mother's favorite film. Regarding the soundtrack, it is sad that Criterion couldn't have taken the audio from the 70 mm 6-Track print because I would imagine that the music in this film would have sounded fantastic. Criterion clearly got their audio for this release from a 35 mm print which had a mono soundtrack. All I can say is that one of the most popularly recorded Brazilian songs ever, "Manhã de Carnaval" ("Morning of Carnival"), never sounded better and this film is Highly Recommended. The film has a 90% T-Meter rating at Rottentomatoes.com.

Movie: 4.5/5 PQ: 4.5/5 AQ: 4.5/5 Supplements: 4/5 (there were no supplements with the previous Criterion previous DVD release from what I've read)

I love Zodiac too. One of the genre's best. It just misses my Top 20 blus.

Not quite as good as its sequel but still an entertaining ride nonetheless. Good brainless fun with lots of laughs and a solid amount of action.

I just noticed all the criterion movies ive watched except 8 1/2 and M are boring as hell in the beginning and then make a huge 180 near the mid point. Is this just me?

Gomorrah (Criterion)

Introduced by Martin Scorsese
Directed by Matteo Garrone

Wow this is a crippling, dramatic, multilayer (Onion) crime movie. In reference to the Italian mafia known as "Camorra", Gomorrah show you the ugly crippling truth behind this powerful and ruthless mafia like secret organization.

I've seen most of all the popular Crime/Mafia/Gangster movies such as Godfather, Scarface, Carlito's Way, Casino, Goodfellas and so fourth but rest assure the Gomorrah is on entire different level. Not saying this movie is better than these highly praised classics but its totally different in every way from these popular titles.

The beginning of the movie had me kinda confused but as it progressed i started to understand that this was a multistory movie but all based on the same principles, CRIME. This movie instantly became a suspenseful horror flick because of the random
[Show spoiler]Killings and i do mean RANDOM
. Overall this movie was a huge surprise and im glad a purchased it! I know crime/mafia movies arent for everyone but the drama in the movie itself is worth the viewing. MUST SEE

5/5

I'm sure it's not just you but for the Criterions I like, none of them have been boring during the film at all. That doesn't mean I've loved every minute of them, as the greatness of some is something that can creep up on you (a la Last Year at Marienbad).
