Well the night off is probably good for me. That 500 points machine gun bounty I had to do can wait. Plus not worth investing time in upgrading my Hawkmoon and Patience in Time exotics.

Do not upgrade it yet.

If I have read it correctly, you will need to trade it in to Xur (when he has it available) so that he can upgrade it in accordance with the new stats. I believe you will be required to spend 1 Exotic shard so that you can trade it in and another 1 to upgrade it afterwards.

In other news, here is a video of new gear and weapons. I guess the rumors about the Level 36 light max are true. I assume the Vanguards provide you with Level 33 maximum and the Raid will yield the 36.

It is still Light Level 32.

The maximum light level FOR A PIECE OF ARMOR is 36 (like how current Legendaries are maxed out at 27, Legendary Raid Set is 30, and Exotics at 30)

So 36 x 4 (four armor slots) will be 144, which is Light Level 32.

New Legendary armor will have a max of +32 Light (an increase from +27 per piece), and Exotics and Raid Legendary armor will have a max of +36 Light per piece.

Light Level is measured like this:

142 Total Light Points: Light Level 32
131 Total Light Points: Light Level 31
120 Total Light Points: Light Level 30
109 Total Light Points: Light Level 29
98 Total Light Points: Light Level 28
87 Total Light Points: Light Level 27
76 Total Light Points: Light Level 26
65 Total Light Points: Light Level 25
54 Total Light Points: Light Level 24
43 Total Light Points: Light Level 23
32 Total Light Points: Light Level 22
21 Total Light Points: Light Level 21

Light Points are the "Light" number on each piece of armor. Hence why now, you become Level 30 with three raid pieces and an exotic, because that equals 30 x 4 = 120, which is light level 30.

I'm trying to take tomorrow off. I'll take a minute to check lost items, but that's it. VoG is starting to feel like a job, and it was what was still fun in this game. Gatekeeper section has become a serious problem, and it has not usually been the hard part. You try a while and fail, change things up, and those who switch encounter the same difficulties. Frustrating. You know, I thought the Templar would suck, because until this week, I had never beat it legitimately on hard mode, and neither had most of this group, but we managed to get a rhythm and get it the same way twice. Took some time, but did not get frustrating or maddening like the Gatekeeper section.

On another note, are we going to be able to upgrade our bounty exotics through Xur, or are they going to make us reacquire and refulfill all of those bounties?

After 5.5 hours playing on Hard , we finally beat it. Much appreciation to Mega, Biz, and volcomsocal for stepping in on the last part. My goodness, the difficulty was much more noticeable this evening compared to Hard on Thursday which only took us about 3 hours that day. Seriously never again I'm going to sit there for 5 hours straight playing video games! I'll play up to 3 hours straight, nothing more. Just felt I wasted a evening playing. Regardless though it was fun!

You got it bud, no problem at all. I'm glad I took those last 3 shots at Atheon right when you guys were coming out of the portal, that way we didn't have to waste time going to the middle and doing the bubble thing. I seriously had no idea Atheon could take damage when it didn't say "Guardians make their own fate". Oh well. But now I know, 2 days before Crota's End comes out. lol

Really looking forward to Tuesday so I can turn in all my bounties, cryptarch stuff, and Exotic upgrading. I don't really have much at all to do until then...maybe some 2nd and 3rd guardian bounties.

Relieved you guys got that done. It was feeling like a job rather than a game. But this means you're bailing after three hours on Tuesday night? I don't think we can finish that one in three.

Thanks for the invite. I figured Hard Atheon would take a couple tries . Came close a few times before finally getting him. My 3 mess ups = Relic Smashing in Mars and flying off of a Cliff, running out of ALL ammo on Orical duty, and on the next to final round: I was the relic holder; while jumping off of the platform it got the detainment shield while I was still in the air. When I dropped down out of the bubble, it killed me. Yall still took care of business.
I got Patience and Time. My wife got Impatient and Mad.
